Here is what Dayton said on their website, which the Journal Sentinel took their story from :

DAYTON – University of Dayton men's basketball coach Archie Miller has announced that Kostas Antetokounmpo, a 6-foot-10, 190-pound forward from Athens, Greece, has signed to play at the University of Dayton.

(Pronunciation:  COAST-us Ah-day-toe-KOON-boe)

The point is he is enrolling in the school .

Yes, the interesting news will be if he is certified by the NCAA and actually plays.

We won't know those details until later.

How do you know what the JS based their national letter of intent comment on? Obviously they didn't get that from Dayton's press release.

And long ago you posted that Kostas had committed to Dayton. This "news" didn't change anything re: "the point is he is enrolling in the school"... so if that was the point, why did you post the misinformation re: an NLI being signed?

The point is, you posted something that was factually incorrect and added nothing to a topic that you continue to go on and on about, even though it has little to nothing to do with MU basketball.

If you are going to make ad hominem attacks please look at the fact pattern.

I first posted what the Journal Sentinel said:
"Whitefish Bay Dominican graduate Kostas Antetokounmpo signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at Dayton."

There is no intent of misinformation there.

You claim the JS is  factually incorrect. I noted your clarification in a prior post even though there is nothing to support your position in the public domain . I took the charitable position to acknowledge you are correct in your position and restated that Kostas is enrolling , which a Dayton PR person could construe as "signing" and which the JS construed as a National Letter of Intent.

I get that you consider yourself the Guru of all things NCAA rules related. However, there are others who have real time experience in these matters as well. So not really necessary to mark your territory so hard.

Lighten up and enjoy the summer.

Huh? Facts and reality support my "position", pal.

The NLI signing period ended May 18, well before Kostas was Dayton-bound. That date is "in the public domain" and even you could find it with a quick search.

My position that the JS and you are incorrect in stating that Kostas signed an NLI is clear and supported by readily available facts.

You're being an idiot.

Fortunately, he didn't COAST-us a scholarship.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.
