Greg Brown went to Iowa and then to a juco somewhere. You are thinking of Boo Wade who, along with Carl Landry, were all classmates on that Vincent team.

I have no problem with this. Maybe our biggest challenge this past year was having to depend so heavily on 3 freshmen. Would love to see Sam contribute 10-15 minutes as a lights-out shooter (a role somewhat similar to Novak in his first season).

I think Novak is the perfect example to use when talking about redshirting. Overall, a fifth year of Novak would of been more valuable than his actual freshmen year. However, if we would of redshirted him he would not of played against Missouri, where he hit two threes to get us into overtime. Redshirt Novak and we probably do not get to final 4. Had we redshirted him he would of been teamed with the three amigos a second year, which then could of been a final four team.

#13 Brandon Ingram could wind up a top 5 guy (or better). Lanky and a little awkward, but the length and skill is there. Easily one of my favorite players to watch in this class.

Henry at #49 is underrated.

I am happy we signed Sam Hauser. That said, I have very little expectation from him as a freshman. After a year in the weight room and experience playing against Big East level talent he will be much more valuable to our cause. The league is just too rough and tumble for a kid like him.

Let's not forget the biggest oversight (overslight?) of all, Vander Blue.  Word was he lost out to T.J. Bray because of anger by the state's HS coaches that he switched his college choice to MU from Wisconsin.

Ever watch TJ play in HS?   Did everything required, score, shoot, rebound, pass, play defense, coach on the floor.  Made everyone on his team better.

Don't get me wrong, I was a big Vander fan.  His Davidson layup made my birthday.  Vander had the D1 measurables.   TJ had a great college career.  He  lead the Ivy League in scoring his senior year.

I did not.  I was mostly repeating comments I read at the time.  Other comments in this thread on TJ vs. Vander make clear that you are not alone in your assessment.  Thanks for clarifying the record.

No doubt Hauser is a nice prospect & can snipe it from deep. But he has a long way to go physically to compete in Big East. Would be an amazing redshirt candidate on a deeper team.

To be fair, this is a photo from last year's state finals.  I'm pretty positive SPASH wore black uniforms for the semi-finals and championships this year.
