I think most people are completely ignorant of how stupid they are  ;D

Sadly this is not limited to student sections.  At all.

Did anyone notice if either team had potential recruits as guests for the game?

Dekker was there for Wisconsin. They showed a glimpse of him after the game with a dead look on his face like, "What just happened?"

Marquette cannot bring recruits to the game.  It is on the road.  A recruit can attend, but has to pay for the tickets.

As my dad always said, its better to be thought a fool than open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Diamond Stone was there.

He'll also be attending quite a few MU games this year.   ;)

In fact, when bo cooled on Diener, wasn't it because he was not strong enough to handle the big, bad, physical Big 10?   :D

Bennett cooled on Diener, not Bo

Yep, my bad.  Does not have any impact on the poing of the comment, though.

I was sitting in the student section with 3 other MU fans. Didn't receive much of a reaction to begin with, but it changed. Like you guys said, it was extremely quiet. The best thing that the Badger fans could do for a chant was, 'SUCKS!' after we started the 'defense' cheer. This only egged me on and continued. During free-throws for Bucky it was extremely quiet to the point where you could hear a pin drop. I used that as an opportunity to scream things... no obscenities, only funny chants. With the help of a alcohol I screamed with the others for the whole game. When Badger fans were at their loudest they would do their obscentity chants to which I replied, 'I thought Barry and Bielama told you guy's not to swear?' All playful fun, had an excellent time.

After the game I rushed onto the court, as Badger fans were exiting, to shake and greet the MU players. On the way down, as expected, I was shoved countless times to which Bucky fans said 'exits that way!' I just pointed at the scoreboard and laughed and continued on. Got onto the court and shook high-fived and shook hands with all of the team. An awesome experience seeing how juiced up they were after the big W. Vander was going crazy and looked extremely happy.

After that we saw Homer interviewing Wes Matthews, we waited for him to be done and talked to Wes for a minute and got a picture. I asked him when he was heading back to camp and he said, 'Ive actually got a flight to catch in an hour, so have to hurry up.' Got a pic and shook his hand and wished him luck on the upcoming season.

All in all an amazing time, probably one of my favorite sporting events in my life! We are Marquette!

Here's the pic with Wes.
