There was a lot of talk on scoop about lockett getting a wasted scholarship. Scoop is famous for only valuing one side of the ball
Sorry, I thought this was about players opposing fans hated.

But yeah, pretty much every transfer in has been disliked by a segment of Scoopers initially. And yes, the myopia about the defensive end persists. See Propser Omax; see also Mitchell, Stevie.

Sophomore year Jimmy Butler too.  Many Juan thumbs down too. I also remember the comments during the Charleston tournament on freshman Stevie.

It is, but the parapgraph you quoted literally starts "As for those Marquette players that Marquette's own fans "hated on".

That's why Lockett is being mentioned

One of MUs most hated players must be Wardle. He is on on top of Ricos list with the dreaded green weiner next to his name.

Wardle was and is dung

Then I guess Arizona State fans would have hated Lockett?
If I could find any I'd ask them.

I'm sorry, what? Sophomore year Jimmy Butler? Was hated on? By only the dumbest scoopers imaginable, I'd guess.

He had a 131.2 offensive rating, mostly because he was a monster on the offensive glass with putbacks. The ol' reliable 3 amigos and lazar would do their thing and Jimmy would clean up the glass. His instant quality made the DJ injury hurt so much worse.

God we were so good at drawing free throws back then.

Now i'm just going down my rabbit holes of the three amigos era, they were so good and fun.

New to Scoop? Early on Scoopers were calling Jimmy a wasted scholarship before he assumed the JFB moniker.

Nope, I was scoopin' it up in my student days. I recall no ill will towards Jimmy, from me or otherwise. Fulce a time or 2 but not Jimmy. I was in awe of his (then still free) kenpom page. He was 4th in ORtg nationally! As our garbage man of the bench!

I believe there was a thread dedicated to Jimmy being a waste of a scholarship. I don't think KenPom stats were as prevalent at that time on Scoop.
