The Wells Fargo Center is 15 miles away from campus taking the shortest route. It makes Wintrust seem convenient for DePaul students.
It’s great how Fiserv is only a mile from MU’s campus.

Really since we lost to Butler they're all big ones if we want to repeat - get to 4 conf losses to teams not named UCONN (including @CU) and we'll likely have to beat them twice to get a title (as well as getting some help). Upshot is, Torvik has this as our toughest game remaining outside those 3 - win tonight and we're sitting in decent shape.

Per Ben Steele - Kam Jones is working around the clock to have his ankle ready. Chase Ross is day-to-day, not cleared for full contact but is doing shooting drills.

Gonna be a challenging game playing a desperate Nova team with possibly 3 of our top 8 out. I think this will be where the team’s championship mettle comes out.

This team has played a lot of big games together and have delivered more times than not. Experience and having been to battle together were two of the big reasons for my optimism going into the season. It will be tested tonight.

I can conceive a lot of angles. Some of them, frankly, would not be recommended angles of attack in basketball.

Part of me thinks there’s no way they allow that again, but then again they kept on doing it throughout last game.
Hitting 75% on 2’s seems nearly impossible, but hopefully Nova continues to be dumb and we are in the 60%s

I don't possess his fashion sense, but Kam and I are pretty much the same as athletes.. he's a little better scoring around the rim, whereas I'm a bit better long range.
Anyway, going through injury stuff just like him. Played pickleball yesterday and had a good session, but the intercostal muscle strain is back and causing me pain. Nonetheless, will get in a quick session over lunch, and then tonight I have my league (at the same time as the MU game - fml!!)
For me, even if I aggravate things in the practice session, I'm still 100% planning on being a go tonight. I will scream and shed tears on the court over walking off and saying, "I can't do it". Of course, Kam has teammates that can pick him up, so I hope he sits out if it's bad. But me.. I'll be a go tonight. #Warriors

This is close to my thinking. Reminds me of Wojo's coaching being the weak link in our '18-'19 team. Nova has talent and experience on the plus side, but Neptune's coaching has often been on the negative side.
Edit: I am referring mostly to the season-ending MU slide. Neptune seems to have a similar approach- double down even when a tactic is not working.

No it doesn't. We're on the road against a Q1 opponent. I'd expect it to be pretty much a pick em.
We were just 1.5 point dogs at St. John's with a healthy Kam, and the computer numbers for St. John's and Nova are very similar.

Kam partook in Shoot Around. Hopefully he is able to give like 15+ minutes of quality ball tonight. Stevie had a 19 point effort in his homecoming last year. Hopefully he can continue to put pressure on the opponent on both ends!

We should be able to tell early if Nova is going to force MU to show that they can hit more than 25% of their threes before allowing the number of layups they did in the first meeting.
2. Will Kam Jones play? If he can’t I think MU is in big trouble. Remember that he was one of the biggest beneficiaries of Nova’s defense in the first game with his array of drives and spinning layups. Norman and Lowery can’t replace those. Kam is also one of the biggest potential 3 point threats.
There is also the depth issue. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Nova try to post Dixon to try to take advantage of his strength and possibly get Oso in foul trouble. They can also try to post up some of their bigger guards

I agree with all these points; if Kam can't go, I expect to see Gold on Dixon and Oso out on perimeter. If Kam does not play and we get a Gold performance like Seton Hall, we can definitely win.

Wow. That was the longest 1st half I've ever seen. Had such a dominant start, scoring at will, and playing outstanding defense. I thought MU would run them out of the gym and get on the plane. But you are selling him short. He helped big time during the first half run. And he had possibly the game saving rebound and kick out when Nova was going nuclear and we couldnt hit water if we fell out of a boat.

What a great game. Started out like we were going to blow them out of the gym but turned into a tight one. Our experience pays huge dividends in this type of game, on the road as well.
Tyler was huge. Great to have Chase back and he made an immediate impact which we absolutely needed with Kam’s injury.
Shaka is now 6-0 against Nova as our coach. That’s huge!

Goose, this team has 2 of the best players in MU history, no one can deny that. My expections this year were to win a National Championship, can that still happen, maybe. For that to happen the secondary players have to be better, that’s it! We will see what happens in 45 days!

Having watched the replay earIy this morning, I think it's important to reiterate that the foul on Oso at 1:17 was utter garbage. And it's the kind of call that could have cost us the game.
