Correct. Wojo said essentially nothing last night.
found it interesting he never came back to the bench. In the replay it did not seem like a real bad turn but who knows, everyone is different.
Will be interesting to see how the team looks an entire game without him.
Yeah, pretty tough to put a guy back on the court when he is 120 days from locking in about $10 million. Certainly hope for a full and quick recovery, but will keep my expectations low.
He was putting weight on it as he walked back to the locker room.
Saturday is a big game, but if there is ANY chance of Henry playing in the BET, it makes sense to sit him Saturday unless he is basically 100%. Our small chances of winning the BET get a whole lot smaller if he's not playing.
That said, it really didn't look that bad. I think it just scared him. He was putting some weight on it as he walked down the tunnel. I don't expect him to play Saturday, but I am sure he'll do everything he can to play in the BET. If MU has to play in the 7/10 game, maybe sit him for that one, but we'll need him for every other game.

Wojo said as much on his post game show. Talked about how Henry had such a bright future that something like that scares him more than anything.
Certainly not going to project but by halfway down the tunnel he was mostly supporting his own weight. I'm sure that foot was in ice 2 minutes later. No reason to come back to the bench. He wasn't playing under any circumstances.
Waiting for the reports from campus of Henry in a walking boot.
I've rolled my ankle similar to the way that one looked, I'm sure many of us have.
The instant it happens the pain is pretty severe and you think you've totally fracked up your ankle. The pain quickly diminishes and you hobble around a bit testing it; it's not too bad, but you really don't want to think about makes any sort of sharp changes of direction on it. Then it swells up and stiffens.

When you're 6'10 and 245 lbs and all of your weight lands on a twisting ankle, that's going to hurt pretty dang bad.
Whether he could put weight on it minutes later or not really doesn't give us any information on the severity of it. When I was a high school senior I rolled my ankle and thought I heard a pop. Was in a lot of pain right away, was freaked out about the sound, and figured I broke my ankle. Then I sat there for a minute and calmed down a bit and realized it wasn't as much pain as I thought. Got up, my coach wouldn't let me put any pressure on it so 2 teammates helped me to the elevator to go to the trainers room, put weight on it in the elevator, and walked from there to the trainers room with little problem. He did his tests, started to tell me that I sprained my ankle, and then he hit the spot. Fractured bone in my foot from the tendons stretching, chipping away a part of the bone. Not out as long as a full on broken foot or ankle, but a good 2 months until I was 100% healthy. You never know with these injuries.

Yep - you never know just from watching replays or the immediate response. I've seen some brutal looking plays where I wondered how the guy even got up, and some relatively innocuous looking ones (Dominic?) where it seemed like any injury would likely be "minor."

I hear you. I fell getting off a ski lift once and really messed up my knee. It hurt like a motherf*cker, but I was so embarrassed by what happened I actually took several slow, painful ski runs on it before I stopped. I hobbled around on it for a week before I finally went to an orthopedist, who then told me I need arthroscopic surgery.
For a really obscure reference...... if only Henry can get one of those legendary tape jobs that Murf would rhapsodize poetic about, all will be well on Saturday. BTW, that extra day to recover (Tuesday night gave v Wednesday night game) could be huge for Henry.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if he was doing an MRI at Aurora Sports Medicine today.

Not to mention if we win on Saturday and Henry doesn't play not having to play until Thursday instead of Wednesday. Would give him a full 8 days to recover. If he couldn't play after 8 days it would be a pretty significant injury anyway so its a moot point.

Would be best to sit out the Butler game and have him as healthy as possible for BET. Hopefully it is a low ankle sprain. If it is a high ankle sprain, he is done for the year.
He needs to be as healthy as possible for the draft combine. Also there is the whole conditioning element that comes into play. There is about 10 weeks to the combine. So if it takes 6 weeks for a high ankle sprain to heal and another 4 weeks of re conditioning, he simply cannot play anymore this year.

Injuries are weird. Anthony Davis look like he absolutely destroyed his knee the other night but ended up back in the next play. Then Otule back in 11-12 didn't look terrible but then it turns out he tore his ACL.

There's no need for Hank to even go to the Combine.
Henry not playing will have an interesting effect on the Butler game. Henry had his big game against them in Milwaukee. After tonight's game Butler would of spent the rest of the time preparing to stop Henry. Now they really do not have an idea of what MU will try to do against them. Also, Butler players may be overconfident about winning, because Henry is out. Being over confident can be counter productive. We have less chance of beating Butler now, but it may not be significantly less. I would think Butler's game plan would be to take the ball to Fischer to try to get him foul trouble. Is there any news on Heldt?

Henry takes too many 3-pointers, he's too selfish and he only gets easy rebounds, anyway.

#mubb @HenryEllenson13 suffered left ankle sprain Tuesday night vs. Georgetown. Status is day-to-day.
http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/370851131.html
While that information may not be much, it confirms that Ellenson did not suffer any broken bones when he landed awkwardly on his left foot with 7:20 remaining in Tuesday's 88-87 win over Georgetown. It also leaves the possibility open that Ellenson will be able to play on Saturday at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
Shortly after tweeting out Ellenson's status, Marquette Basketball tweeted a photo of the Ellenson brothers doing an interview with a reporter from Sports Illustrated Kids. Henry is wearing regular shoes and it appears he is wearing a soft brace or wrap on his left ankle.

Not only that, but scoop logs every time a person clicks on a thread. Its not every individual person who clicks on a thread. We don't discuss things in Matty V's threads. We typically read the thread once and are done. Tower's thoughts threads usually contain discussion, so people go back to it repeatedly. If look at the thread 10 times it counts it as 10 not as 1.

OMFG this is really still a thing? You're still moaning about this? Okay...people link to his stories off not just Scoop but Twitter, FaceBook, and simply the JSOnline page. Further, we rarely discuss in that threat, so as noted, it gets a one-and-done viewing as opposed to other active discussion threads.
When you decide to blatantly rip off his stuff, how about putting a quote box around it? I have to figure you've spent enough time on this board to do that. And yes, post the link and be sure to attribute.
As far as the business model, who cares? What century do you live in? Let's be honest, Matt's work at JSOnline is, like virtually all media employee exploits, an audition for another job. Whether it's moving up in Milwaukee, moving to a bigger market, or writing for a more national outlet such as SI or ESPN, this stuff is his resume. Included in that resume is page views, which you undermine when you post his material and don't provide a link.
But most important is the simple ethics of it. You post his work as your own (which you are doing by not attributing or using quote boxes) and it is plagiarism. That's dishonest at best and illegal at worst.
It's okay to admit you were wrong. But when you do it over and over and over, it's hard to believe you actually care about your misdeeds, especially when you throw in snide comments about the company Matt works for.

It sad how pathetic his organization has become that a bunch of anonymous poster on a free website feel it necessary to "protect" his free information from being re-posted on the same site that he posted it for free to big with! And, unbelievably in this case, I'm getting it for forgetting a link when his post was a cut and paste job from the MU's twitter feed!!
And regarding "everyone one the same page here." How many times have I asked for an investment page here because the second "everyone agrees on something here." doing the opposite is almost the right call.,

Instead, you go rage mode at the newspaper business model and attack Matt because of who he works for, basically saying he's an idiot and because of that he deserves you plagiarizing him.
Henry isn't having surgery.

I'm don't rip him off, he gives his crap away for free. He rips himself off.
Your knowledge of copyright law is still poor. Learn a little something and stop being a douchebag.

Even after the mods' editing of this thread, it still was a dick move by you.
Heisenberg needs to go, at least for 30 days. Banhammer is warranted, not just for stealing the content the one time, but the complete refusal to acknowledge he was wrong and stop doing it in the past. Insulting our very good beat writer is just gravy on the biscuit. Time for him to go.
First when it comes to health info I will only share if I have permission from the player or his parents. So what I can say is that the x-rays were negative, availability I will not respond to, because their is a strong desire not to show cards at this time. With MH also injured the availability of HE is an even bigger issue.
On the positive front the visit by MH could not of gone better. I really like him, but I will tell you his Dad (Chuck) is about as down to earth as a player's parent can be. No worries about him ever pulling his son out of a practice. By the way MH turned 17 today. Yes only 17...headed to Central Arkansas for visit with his brother and school. I would say that he is definitely leaning to committing to a school in April for 2016 class. I would agree we are the front runner for many reasons, but can't underestimate SJ relationship, especially from Noemi (mom) view. 60-20-20 (MU-CA-Baylor).
Hauser brothers would like to play together, but not set in stone. Will have to wait and see how Sam likes it next year. Finally, TH and Wojo already have a very good relationship. I would not agree that he is a UW lean at all, but UW is not out either.
Thanks, big daddy.
Tower you are welcome. I (and I think many others too) would appreciate if this topic stayed on topic and not spiral into other areas. Just a suggestion. Tower that is not directed at you.
Good stuff. Thanks BD. Particularly like the update on Markus. Sounds like a wonderful family and a great support network for a good kid. A Wojo kid said another way.

Thanks for the info, good to here. Is there anybody out there right now that MU feels they have a chance to sign for 2016 that is a big?
Great information BD. Thanks for the insight and updates!
Back on HE. Whether he plays Saturday is up in the air. But it seems reasonable that he'll don his Warrior uniform again before the season ends. Tape it tight young man.

BD, you're wonderful!
I hope you're right. Another wonderful recruiting class and we're on our way!
Great info, thanks Big Daddy.

Thanks BD. Always nice to get info of this nature. Glad MH had a great visit. Seems like a great kid and a great basketball player.
Any word on the pursuit of bigs right now? Kind of keeping it close to the vest until Henry declares?

My inside source told me that he is scheduled for a surgery with Dr Babar this afternoon.
Who? Heisenberg, hey?
To hell with Big Daddy and his awesome updates on HE & recruiting... we've got a much more important discussion (a/k/a Heisenbashing) going on here.
Thanks BD!
Always great to find a nugget of real information in a thread that's veered off the intended path. Good idea to keep Butler off balance by having to prepare for a team with HE and without him.
Edit: NVM. Big Daddy covered it better than I could have.

Since everyone here hates me ... let's go all in ...
Anyone remember my posts CORRECTLY pointing out every BD posted about Damion Lee and Shonn Miller was 100% wrong!
Let's hope this time BD got something right.

Sean Miller the Arizona coach? I know you mean the transfer to UCONN but I enjoy when you're wrong about stuff.

Corrected his name spelling ... he looks really good in an MU uni like BD said was happening ... right.

You mad, bro?
I'm generally opposed to the ban hammer for contrary opinions, but it seems like you're just trying to see how far you can go.
Work at it just a little harder and you can join NERS.
Douchebaggery at its finest right here.

He wasn't wrong. He said the coaches felt like they had a good chance to get one or both of Lee and Miller. This was before Lee visited Louisville and Miller visited UConn. They both got blown away during their on campuses (in Lee's case, he just got blown) and they committed on the spot. Nothing about Big Daddy's post was wrong. You just incorrectly asserted that Big Daddy must have been wrong because both recruits ended up elsewhere.

That was what I found in a bit of looking into it I did as well. Additionally, the "posts" which he is referring that he had on this were after the fact. Here he is framing it as if he was calling BD out before the eventual news was broke.
