It's not good. I'll be surprised if he plays in the conference tournament.

Correct.  Wojo said essentially nothing last night.

found it interesting he never came back to the bench.   In the replay it did not seem like a real bad turn but who knows, everyone is different.

Will be interesting to see how the team looks an entire game without him.

Yeah, pretty tough to put a guy back on the court when he is 120 days from locking in about $10 million. Certainly hope for a full and quick recovery, but will keep my expectations low.

He was putting weight on it as he walked back to the locker room.

Saturday is a big game, but if there is ANY chance of Henry playing in the BET, it makes sense to sit him Saturday unless he is basically 100%.  Our small chances of winning the BET get a whole lot smaller if he's not playing.

That said, it really didn't look that bad. I think it just scared him.  He was putting some weight on it as he walked down the tunnel.  I don't expect him to play Saturday, but I am sure he'll do everything he can to play in the BET.  If MU has to play in the 7/10 game, maybe sit him for that one, but we'll need him for every other game.

Wojo said as much on his post game show.  Talked about how Henry had such a bright future that something like that scares him more than anything.

Certainly not going to project but by halfway down the tunnel he was mostly supporting his own weight.  I'm sure that foot was in ice 2 minutes later.  No reason to come back to the bench.  He wasn't playing under any circumstances.

Waiting for the reports from campus of Henry in a walking boot.

I've rolled my ankle similar to the way that one looked, I'm sure many of us have.

The instant it happens the pain is pretty severe and you think you've totally fracked up your ankle.  The pain quickly diminishes and you hobble around a bit testing it; it's not too bad, but you really don't want to think about makes any sort of sharp changes of direction on it.  Then it swells up and stiffens.
If you think for one second that I am comparing the USA to China you have bumped your hard.

When you're 6'10 and 245 lbs and all of your weight lands on a twisting ankle, that's going to hurt pretty dang bad.

Whether he could put weight on it minutes later or not really doesn't give us any information on the severity of it.  When I was a high school senior I rolled my ankle and thought I heard a pop.  Was in a lot of pain right away, was freaked out about the sound, and figured I broke my ankle.  Then I sat there for a minute and calmed down a bit and realized it wasn't as much pain as I thought.  Got up, my coach wouldn't let me put any pressure on it so 2 teammates helped me to the elevator to go to the trainers room, put weight on it in the elevator, and walked from there to the trainers room with little problem.  He did his tests, started to tell me that I sprained my ankle, and then he hit the spot.  Fractured bone in my foot from the tendons stretching, chipping away a part of the bone.  Not out as long as a full on broken foot or ankle, but a good 2 months until I was 100% healthy.  You never know with these injuries.

Yep - you never know just from watching replays or the immediate response.  I've seen some brutal looking plays where I wondered how the guy even got up, and some relatively innocuous looking ones (Dominic?) where it seemed like any injury would likely be "minor."

I hear you. I fell getting off a ski lift once and really messed up my knee. It hurt like a motherf*cker, but I was so embarrassed by what happened I actually took several slow, painful ski runs on it before I stopped.  I hobbled around on it for a week before I finally went to an orthopedist, who then told me I need arthroscopic surgery.
Have some patience, FFS.

For a really obscure reference...... if only Henry can get one of those legendary tape jobs that Murf would rhapsodize poetic about, all will be well on Saturday.     BTW, that extra day to recover (Tuesday night gave v Wednesday night game) could be huge for Henry.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if he was doing an MRI at Aurora Sports Medicine today.

Not to mention if we win on Saturday and Henry doesn't play not having to play until Thursday instead of Wednesday. Would give him a full 8 days to recover. If he couldn't play after 8 days it would be a pretty significant injury anyway so its a moot point.

Would be best to sit out the Butler game and have him as healthy as possible for BET. Hopefully it is a low ankle sprain. If it is a high ankle sprain, he is done for the year.

He needs to be as healthy as possible for the draft combine. Also there is the whole conditioning element that comes into play. There is about 10 weeks to the combine. So if it takes 6 weeks for a high ankle sprain to heal and another 4 weeks of re conditioning, he simply cannot play anymore this year.

Henry's draft combine is not for another 3 years and 10 weeks, he'll be fine.
