I never collected my money from last years win. I wonder if it is still there.
So is the roster locked in??I see no add ons and it sounds like the deadline was today.
Teams just need 7 players by today. Have up ot 72 hours before their first game to adjust the roster.
Diener is back. The question is, does he know?
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.
When I was at MU it was the Hilltopers, and I was anxious for something else. I was pleased with Warriors, but when the controversy with the Indian feelings emerged, I agreed and embraced the Eagles. It's all trivial, and sensitive to Native Americans. Warriors is forgotten and I am fine with that. Most students don't remember the former and have no burning desire to return to it. Let's grow up and move into a new century with empathy for the beliefs of others, pride in our past and hope for our future.
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but Sacar Anim is now listed on the Golden Eagles TBT team. Big addition!
Hmmmmm, not so sure.
Not so sure if Sacar is listed, or not so sure it's a "big addition."Because he is listed.
What about empathy for those who believe it should still be warriors? After all in today's cancel culture that would be athrowback that many would believe in.
I was a neighbor one room over at Schroeder freshman/sophomore years, then housemate jr/sr yrs with The First Warrior. He is Menominee. He petitioned MU to remain Warriors. MU had this narrative that numerous NA groups wanted the nickname change. To this day he’s bothered by the change, but going back not happening, especially in today’s political climate. Embrace the BLM organization. Warriors? bad.
Interesting and nailed it Viper. Similar to the Cleveland Indians dropping everything Chief Wahoo over supposed offense to Native Americans. My neighbor who is NA is from Cleveland and a big Indians fan, and to this day has a Chief Wahoo flag up.
TAMUI do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.
Well if one person of native American descent is okay with it than it must be okay right?
And his opinion doesn’t count and there’s undeniably no one else who shares his view out there, right? That’s what’s wrong about all this rush to political correctness, it’s all a pre determined outcome and pretending to speak for a majority. Such as Native Americans polled by the Washington Post in 2016 overwhelmingly being fine with the Redskins nickname. Then 4 years later the name suddenly and absolutely had to be changed. https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/new-poll-finds-9-in-10-native-americans-arent-offended-by-redskins-name/2016/05/18/3ea11cfa-161a-11e6-924d-838753295f9a_story.html
