There was a controversy in 2007 when MU asked a student to not wear headdresses and our old friend Dr. McAdams, went to bat for the kid and more kids stepped up to wear them to the ESPN prime time televised game against Pitt.

The thing I got from the first link was how quickly a moderator here was willing to dox a professor to let some kid be a spoiled dbag. I mean I arrived at MU 2yrs later and while I would've said it's a bit much to threaten to kick the student out, I think a big head dress campaign was the stereotypical white guy reaction to not being able to objectify people.

Also, that isn't doxing. Doxing would be taking a posters private information (Such as address, phone, name, etc) and making that knowledge known to the public.

The moderator posted publicly available information about a professor who wouldn't have reasonable assumption of privacy over such information. Now it would have been doxing had the moderator said such and such poster is the professor, here is his info, go at him.

Nonsense.

I was on the Mascot Committee at MU where we commissioned an artist who drew all sorts of different "warriors" (Roman, tribal, etc) and DiUlio said they were all too "aggressive and violent" lol.  MU, as usual, was totally pathetic in their decision making.

That is pretty funny.  The Webster definition of "Warrior."

I'm pretty meh on this logo.  Not really a fan of the blue and gold shades they chose.  Might just be how those shades interact with the black.

Clearly a rip off the Golden Knights, but I love it. Definitely a subtle homage to a type of Warrior mascot.

If I were gonna rip off a warrior team though I'd have a picture of the 6th street bridge and call us the Golden Warriors.

It's fine for what it is, and better than a reference to the Ultimate Warrior, but in no way should the university adopt this logo.
