The Superbar / Re: IDF targets and kills food aid workers

The Israeli government has been surveilling International Criminal Court (ICC) officials for nearly a decade as part of an underground effort to threaten and intervene in the ICC’s probe into alleged war crimes, according to an investigation from +972 Magazine, Local Call, and The Guardian.
The operation, which involved hacking and several Israeli intelligence agencies, allegedly targeted the ICC chief prosecutor, Karim Khan, and his predecessor, Fatou Bensouda. The reports allege that Israel’s foreign intelligence agency Mossad ran point on an operation aimed at collecting compromising information on Bensouda and her family, as part of an effort to sway her opinion and align the probe in its favor. Bensouda felt personally threatened by the apparent pressure campaign, and even feared for her safety, according to the reports.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu himself was “obsessed, obsessed, obsessed” with the secret operation, one source said.
The revelation comes days after Khan announced the court is seeking arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, warning “all attempts to impede, intimidate, or improperly influence the officials of this court must cease immediately.”

OK, you would know more than me. But it would need to be more than simply playing the sport right?

Most definitely, it would follow a mold of Sports Studies/Sports Management/Sports Communication programs but with some basketball specific electives.

No university would make the major though, as it would cost more to create the extra classes for limited to no benefit, because other majors exist already that would suffice for the cause. Like this program at UT-Austin.

https://education.utexas.edu/academics/bachelors/physical-culture-sports/

In some of these "Sports Studies" type programs you see greater than 90% of the majors/students are athletes.

agree and disagree.

A great player. Generally considered top 25 all-time, so not underrated.
He could still be underrated in the Top 25. He led the league in rebounding 14 straight years.

He's better than the other malone (Karl). Many sources have Karl ranked higher. Same with Kevin Garnett. That, to me, means Moses could be considered underrated.

Before the injuries hobbled him, he was on track to be in the discussion for best big man ever.   He was as good as Kareem.  Bad feet, bad ankles.   Actually listed below his true height.

All true.

I know a lot of Scoop hated him as an analyst but I loved the guy - in small doses, which is how, in the Midwest and Florida, I got him. He loved the game and he loved life - and it came through loud and clear.

“Too often”

Well, one time is “too often” so I guess - but I can’t think of any unworthy female athletes getting kudos just because of their looks. The ones I see in the limelight (Clark, Brittany Griner, Nellie Korda, etc.) are celebrated because of their accomplishments and not their appearance.

One of the reason Moses is "underrated" is that he was on some really bad teams early in his career. The Houston Rockets were really an afterthought, who qualified for the 1981 Finals with a losing record as a six seed. (When there were only six seeds per conference.) So he kinda battled in obscurity for awhile.

But everyone knew that when he was traded to the Sixers they were the instant leading contender.

There are already accredited degrees at the Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral levels for "Sports studies." It would not be hard for them to get a degree accredited for "Basketball Studies" at all.

I guarantee you I could write up a degree plan and get it approved, it isn't that hard.

I get it.  But practically, whenever a school begins a new academic program, it needs to be approved by an accrediting agency. No accrediting agency is going to accept a major in a sport however.
