Barring injuries to other PGs, it probably will take awhile for Thibs to feel comfortable giving TK meaningful minutes. And that's OK. He's gonna have a long career.

If all you see when you look at Jop is a guy that feasted against DePaul and struggled against NCST, you got some real selective memory.

Jop was inconsistent last year.  Everybody was inconsistent last year. That's just what college ball is. Jop had bad games, but was also the biggest reason we beat UCLA, no Kansas win and no shot at Purdue without his performance against UCLA. He also stepped up huge when we were shorthanded on the road @CU.

Yep.

Also hit the clinching FTs to get us into the Sweet 16, hit two big second-half 3s against Western Kentucky to help us break open a far-too-close game, came up huge against Nova in OT and took over the home game against Seton Hall to turn a close game into a rout. Among others.

It's easy to acknowledge that we need more from him more often this season while also realizing that he has had many, many, many good games for us so far in his MU career.

Looking forward to a solid season from our senior forward.

I think trying to capture the secondary ticket market $ and at the same time disgusting STH so that they don't buy extra tickets is possibly by design. If non-STH want to pay those prices MU should find a way to capture that revenue instead of letting STH who already have their tickets sell their extras and making that $ that MU used to pass on.

Now that there is so much interest, single game tickets are not going to be so easy.

This one hurt. I grew up in LA in the 80s, I'm Mexican American and I was a huge fan of Dodger baseball and that was in large part due to Fernando Valenzuela. If you weren't there it's hard to explain just how insane the city of LA went for Fernando. But it wasn't just LA, pretty much anywhere in the country were there was a Mexican community, he was selling out ballparks. Everyone wanted to see Fernando pitch and for a stretch of about 6 years, he was arguably the best pitcher in baseball.

RIP El Toro Fernanado Valenzuela.

That's a great remembrance, Tortuga. Thanks.

I think Edey def got some favorable whistles. To me it was even more when he played offense.

But as jarring as game 1 was, a key is also he was obviously going against bigger, stronger, older and better athletes.

I miss Tuesday night MACtion.  CUSA doesn't have the same juice.

Generally agree, but it sure was nice to see Liberty lose to Kennesaw State last night. Liberty is even easier to root against than Notre Dame.

Edey fouled out once his entire college career and fouls out in 15 min in his first NBA game with an extra foul no less.  Maybe the claims of him getting an EXTREMELY favorable whistle in college were a bit true...

This will probably help balance out the Edey narratives.  It went from him never being an NBA contributor to people suddenly thinking his was Hakeem 2.0 cause he had a pretty good preseason stretch offensively to his flaws being highlighted quickly.  Not just the fouls, Will Hardy and the Jazz did a masterful job pulling him out of the paint and stranding him where they could get over the top/behind him and negate his length.

Interestingly, the Grizzlies essentially replaced Steven Adams with Edey but Adams is what they need at the 5 (given their other pieces) and the kind of player that Edey won't ever be athletically.

I think Edey will be a serviceable role player for a while personally. He’s skilled enough. But all that small sample size confirms to me is he was reffed with kid gloves his entire college career.

That was a fun 7 minutes.  Be part of the market, there are alternatives in the greater Milwaukee area.

Well in this case the "price" is the same, but since they changed HOW you purchase it, there's now all kinds of extra costs not included in the "price" per se.

You have a point though, this is basically just paying higher market demand prices.  But since I'm guessing there is little/no benefit to MUBB, it's more of the theme that they're providing less services and fewer benefits, while adding costs and hassles onto their STH's that don't need to exist (rather than it being a market pricing thing).
