I think Elgin Cook played at Milw. Hamilton for Tom Diener alongside Kevon Looney.

Cook transferred for his senior year to Christian Life Center Academy in Houston.  Which also was Cadougan's school.

Originally committed to Iowa State, went juco, then surfaced at Oregon.

He lived with his father, Alvin Robertson, while in Houston.  Robertson had connections with an assistant at Oregon.

Positive is the big shot to win, the negative is the massive choke job in the last 5 minutes

I agree, love the Elam ending.

And I love this tourney ... great way to engage with the program in the middle of the summer.

Missed the last few minutes, how much time was left?

Elam score is 83?  Some games went higher?

Could be wrong here but wouldn't we have lost to Davidson if the Elam ending became a thing? Maybe I'm a traditionalist but I like classic ball

After first dead ball 4 minutes or less 8 points added to lead score first team to that score wins, only 30 second clock on.

Would’ve been a whole different game though. It’ll never come to NCAA or NBA, but it’s fun as crap in this environment

Elam ending is the best

In close games, it's great. In blowouts, I don't like it as much. Not sure why, but the increase from 7 to 8 has led to far more exciting Elam finishes this year. I liked it last year, but it lost its luster when the margins got big. This year has seemed exciting continuously.

It's great as it stops the fouling as well as the endless time outs.  The last two minutes of a CBB game can be terrible because what you are doing is watching commercials, not basketball.

If the NCAA does not adopt the Elam ending, it should look into ways to speed up the end of the game.

I think quarters and the five foul bonus per quarter, with two shots, come first. Plus, they could speed up the replay system by charging time outs.

A number of games last year, especially with big leads, just devolved to the team in the lead repeatedly launching long threes to try to end the game sooner and the team trailing repeatedly launching long threes to play catch-up.

It's great when it's close and both teams are still playing, but a few of those games turned into ugly brickfests. But that doesn't make it a perfect solve that I want to see adopted universally.

Love it in the TBT and hope that is where it stays. Part of what makes it fund is the novelty of it.

Let me preface by saying sorry if this has been mentioned but I didn't feel like scrolling through 11 pages.  ;D
But what does the black patch with initials 'DG' on their jerseys stand for?
Thanks!
