He visited the site yesterday morning...

http://www.muscoop.com/index.php?action=profile;u=8

Was this a new years resolution of his that I missed?  Based off his last post?...

Got crushed by a traditional team....smart, good shooters, play positions well, don't make a lot of mistakes, high basketball IQ.

Was hoping for a better effort.  Happy New Year

and now...COLD TURKEY

Earlier clue- I suspected he might be taking a vacation from scoop when I read this one:

MUScoop / Hangin' at the Al / Re: Pee Wee Herman in the house    on: December 31, 2013, 09:43:05 PM

Chicos taking a shot at Buzz???
There's a first.

Taking a shot because he sort of looked like Pee Wee Herman get-up?

Don't worry....you won't have to worry about it much longer if you truly think that's what I'm doing

We must post as much as we can to keep Scoop's numbers up!

Brewcity is hanging out on IWB's board.   I get the feeling he was looking for some peace.

Brew disagreed with some of our moderation, or rather lack thereof, and decided he wanted a break from the place.

Agree or disagree with his content but Chico adds a lot to Scoop. He adds insight in many ways.

I suspect he will be back at some point.

I rarely agree with Chicos but that's why this board needs him. 1000 Bleuteauxs would be boring.

What's a message board without a little sh!t talking, disagreements, and drama.

I'm sure Chico appreciates this thread. And will return sooner or later. In the meantime I will look forward to keefes Israeli military women

Mods, can we get a watch on where the new name(s) are coming from in terms of geographical region over the next few days?

What will his next name username(s) be?

Agreed.

Why do you say that GA?

Firstly, he annoyed me in the soccer thread. For a guy who spends a ton of time posting and beating his point home, I found that when challenged on something that was either false or misconstrued on his part he went very quiet.

Secondly, he annoyed me with his distasteful treatise boasting of his excellence last March. To cherry pick sentences, which in 3/4 of the situation were wildly out of context to the rest of a poster's message, and then somehow wrap it all together as a manifesto of true fandom was bizarre.

Thirdly, there's always a tinge of pomposity to his posts that seems to go uncommented on whereas with other posters the pomposity is all anyone ever responds to even if the tone isn't close to grating.

Finally, it's obviously no big thing if he stays gone or comes back. In fact, I'm sure it's better for the community he returns. But all of us have the one or two posters that seem to cause irritation. brewcity77 is one of mine.

Never had a huge issue with him, but that post you mentioned rubbed me the wrong way as well.
