Not that I have ever been shot...but I would think that after one gunshot, I would be in too much pain to shoot myself again

Reminds me of one of the deaths of someone closely associated to a former President of ours who was ruled a suicide....yet he had TWO gunshot wounds to the head.

I would think that if your first shot doesn't instantly kill you, the pain would inspire you to finish the job with a second shot.

Good stuff. And by good stuff I mean, who in their right mind comes up with these kinds of explanations? Reminds me of when that psycho 20 year old cop killed a few people up north, think it was last year, and then "shot himself" in the head 3 times. I don't know if you could get me to stub a toe three times.
