I tend to disagree with that.  It's not like Karon made the move to get into the NBA.  He wanted to be closer to home, get some more PT.  He missed out on a Western Michigan beat down .. and a nice season in the BE (ended with two losses) .. in exchange for a top 25 team, sweet 16 appearance, a modicum (not huge) amount of PT as a Shocker .. and IIRC, the Shockers are again ranked this year, and probably will repeat as MVC champs, as they only lost one senior.

Can't say it was a terrible mistake for him.   If he was with MU last year, I can't imagine he would have started in place of .. drum roll .. Dom James.
