alright fellow students... i wanna hear what time everyone is planning on getting there tomorrow morning.  I know my buddies and i are planning on getting in the BC area around 6:30am.  What about everyone else?

I can't wait for this game tomorrow.

spartan3186

We're also getting there right around 6:30. They are not letting anyone on BC property prior to 7 so i have a feeling Its going to be a mad dash for the first spots in line. Sucks for the people camping out the night before...

SoCalstu09

same...6:30ish. I can't imagine security not allowing us to line up at 6:30. I don't know about you, but i can't wait for the mad dash to section 224 where many will be trampled. Have you heard anything about having a MU ID with your ticket? Seems like that would really slow down the process?

You guys better beat the crap out of any badger communists dressed in red trying to infiltrate the student section.

I have heard that, I believe its just a precaution to make sure that we dont get any UW fans in our section this year. That was a problem two years ago. I think they'll probably check IDs in line and give wrist bands and stamps at the same time. Otherwise the mad dash wont really happen

MarquetteVol

What time do they open the doors to the BC for you guys?

gjreda

they are opening the doors for the BC at 11:30am but passed out flyers at previous games stating that they are not allowing students to line up on the BC grounds until 7am.  Regardless, I have a feeling there are going to be a ton of people there before 7am.

My freshman year against Louisville (curse you, Reece Gaines...) we showed up early and waited in line outside the BC (it was freezing... TC showed up, addressed us while standing on the trunk of his Lexus, shook our hands), only to have our door be the last to open, resulting in seats 4 rows from the back of the upper deck. Since that game they've been giving out wristbands to the first people in line, to prevent the 'mad dash to 224.' The only mad dash will likely be the one across 4th street at 7am, which should be equally entertaining, what with the curbs and all....

can anyone take pictures?  of the game too!

And if you have video capabilities on your cellphone or digital camera, please take some "man-in-the-crowd-shots".  Those are always fun.

I will salute you all as I enter Turners, approximately 11 a.m., to get my respective drink on.

gjreda

I'll bring a camera... I can't promise many pictures, but I'll try my best.

marquette09

me and my buddies plan on getting there around 700ish.  Hope the weather is decent!

rocky_warrior

Anybody with a cell phone camera, that can send pictures with e-mail or SMS?  If so, shoot some picture e-mails to muscoop@muscoop.com, or PM me and I'll give you my cell # to send SMSs.  I'll post things live on the board pre-game (I'll be away from the board during the game though).

I, too, remember all the very well the Louisville game in '03.  I went down at 5:00 AM with my best friend's roommate from Schroeder (probably about 50th or so in line), both of us still a bit intoxicated from the night before.  Compared to what the lines are like now, it was unadulturated chaos.  A couple of tents were pitched in the line, students were rolling in with coolers full of booze and passing them out, students were passing out in line, empty bottles and cans being thrown, etc.  When TC rolled up in his Lexus with the bullhorn, it was absoulely extroardinary.  By the time the doors opened, though, it was a mad stampede; I almost got thrown out of the lower bowl since I got into an argument with ushers over trying to save a seat for my buddy.

After that game the BC finally got around to the wristbands and bringing some control to the process.  The students today don't know what they're missing.  ;)
The General has taken on a new command.

Plans changed...wake up at 4:45 leaving by 5:30. That should leave enough time to be near the front of the line.

The chances of a mad-dash are slim. Three lines will be formed on the US Cellular side by the students, theres no reason to be dumb and get hurt.

jmayer1

I too was at that game in '03 with a bunch of buddies from Schroeder.  I was the guy who was absolutely trashed, wearing a MUstard costume, and gave the one finger salute when I got on the jumbotron.

CWSKeith

I'm thinking about getting there at around 9:00ish.  Do you guys think that I'll be able to grab a lower deck seat if I get there at that time?  I'm not aimin' for front row -- I actually don't like sitting in that 'special' section, as the base of the basket always screws my view.  But -- what'd'you guys think?

DoubleMU0609

I can't get there until 11:00.  Am I gonna need binoculars?  Doesn't matter, I'm just happy to be in the building!
Go MU!!!

SoCalstu09

If you get there at 9 you'll be in the lower bowl. The student section now includes 224, which hasnt been open all year (it's the section that was blocked off for the tournament teams when they were finished). With that open, I just can't imagine the lower bowl filling up in the first two hours. I think they'll be really strict on saving seats too. You're golden.

11:00...you're getting there 30 minutes before doors open. Bring binocs.

Warrior2008

7 am departure for me.  I just want to get into the lower bowl.  Should be a good time.

Go Warriors!  Beat the Pants-less Rodents!
