Parham and Nigel are adequate shooters.  Stevens should be solid as well.   It would be nice to have some of the predicted rotation guys be outstanding shooters.  But still think this team is top 25 good without a sniper,

In Shaka's press conference he said Purdue was only up 7 against these guys with 5 minutes left.

It's a legitimate concern, Shooter.  I've advocated for a prime-time sniper/bucket getter (from distance), since April.

Looking at the highlights of both games I see good movement and aggressivenes on both ends of the court...that of course is tempered with highlights don't show when things don't work.

What is shown though is neither opponent had any size...so lots of currently easy things won't be easy against real competition.

Nevertheless...great opportunity for lineups to work together early on.

They're coming back.  De-Extinction is real.  And I'm trying very hard for Colossal BioSciences to bring back the Great Auk as well.  Tremendously cool animal.

The level of competition needs to be taken into consideration. But these same guys played Purdue tighter than MU did, so that's not a bad sign for our guys.

Clark overtaking Hamilton on the depth chart is the main bright spot from this game. I could get used to seeing easy buckets off of Clark jammers. Looks like he's moving more fluidly and his increased size is noticeable.

Also, Adrien Stevens looks like a leader when Nigel is off the court (judging from the highlights).

Royce looks dominant in these games. None of these bigs can match his athleticism and he gets to the rim with ease. Hoping that can become a bigger part of his game, especially if the 3-point shot keeps falling the way it was towards the end of the season. Loving the offensive rebounds from Royce + Fru, I really hope it translates to in-season competition.

Hoping/assuming MPIII can hit 3-pointers at a better clip than he's showing in these games. That shot looks like it's going in every time it leaves his hands.
