Also, the good news is that despite how awful everything about Marquette is run, causing fans to not renew season tickets, apparently there's still enough interest, despite not streaming 53 point wins and coming off of 20 loss seasons, to pay a portal player $4MM this offseason.

The idea that people will only spend money where that place has "an investment" in them (beyond taking their money) is really funny, though.

Agreed.  It was a glorified scrimmage where the guys got some run in game lineups.  Mission accomplished.

Given the level of competition (minimal), I wouldn't put much stock in Clark's production, given the time at which he entered the game.

I still laugh at posts here penciling in Crowdis for 14 mpg.   His playing level currently is probably that of Calgary.   With that said, he has a valuable practice role and a tremendous opportunity as he advances through the program.

Personally, I think we need to live stream more aspects of the basketball program. Boot watch cam at the subway? Al McGuire Center entrance cam? Sunday mass cam?

I know it was against very bad competition, but his stat line was insane! Fair to say he's a lock for MIP in the BE / country.

I know I'm going way off topic discussing the actual games, but... I wonder if there might be some legit D1 players on any of these teams Shaka might be intersted in bringing in. When we played in Vancouver in 2007, a kid who went against us for Douglass College, Bol Kong, dropped 26 on us and ended up at Gonzaga. When our group who went up there to see the team talked to TC he was very intrigued by the kid.

And watching the first half of those highlights was enough to make me turn it off and realize I wouldn't bother to watch these "games" even if they were streaming them.
