Manatee vitriol is unacceptable in all circumstances.

Costly win. Gotta get the win, but beating Belgium without Balogun is a huge ask. Pepi isn't close to the player nor does he have the chemistry. He looked comparably out of his depth when he came on for Pulisic. Be interesting to see what they draw up. I could see moving Pulisic more central and bringing on Berhalter. Just focus on ball movement, high press, and hope some of the mids can bang in a couple goals.

I don't get it.  What can be done to win the appeal?

Pepi was fine in his hold up play while we were down a man. Harsh to judge him on that performance.

Belgium looked very poor for the majority of the game today against a high pressing team and has not looked great this tournament.

Will be a much different challenge than today but we'll still be the betting favorites. MASSIVE home field advantage in Seattle as well.

Do they not like Wright or is he just a different type of player?

Pepi a much more willing runner which lends itself well to a late game sub.

Right. But I mean to start next game. But if he is not a willing runner I get it.

Personal opinion - but Pepi clears haji all day. Pepi can hold up play much better than Wright. Will be important against a team who likes to play with the ball

Belgium has been thoroughly average for four games, and really don't deserve to be in the final 16. Advancing is definitely not a lock for the US, but this isn't 2014. Oddsmakers are basically calling it a toss-up.
It doesn't hurt that the US is younger and didn't play an extra 30 minutes today.

Belgium isn't the Belgium of a few years ago, but as they showed today they still have some offensive explosion to them. I really think Balogun unlocks our offense and worry that replacing him with Pepi will bog us down and when goals are at a premium feel a lot more concerned about Belgium than I would otherwise.

Obviously Balogun is our best option, but Belgium hasn't been impressive at all. I think we win.

I cannot stress how impactful home field in Seattle will be for us.

My quick search says you CAN appeal, but it seems it's basically 100% that a VAR decision won't be overturned
