This has been an ongoing issue with games in Mexico.

Like chanting "bullsh*t" at games, there just isn't a lot that can be done.

Eh, there have long been threats of a 3-0 auto forfeit, and I believe they've even gotten close at times. IIRC there was a 15 minute pause of some non-friendly game where the next steps would have been forfeiting. That being said, it was always known that FIFA would turn the blind eye at a WC. Ironic that it was as obvious as it was in a game where there was a straight red for "mouth covering".

CONCACAF has at least attempted to make efforts to stop it, FIFA does not care.

Was cheering hard for Congo but can't even be mad at that strike.

Filthy goal for Senegal

Belgium is an absolute mess right now.

Pretty amazing how completely toothless they've become offensively.  Its gotten get pretty dark for them by the next cycle.  They may be able to sneak in with an old and wiley Courtois backstopping them for one more cycle, but their young talent looks very underwhelming on this stage.

Omg what happened to Senegal. No pressure on the ball such an easy cross.

Panda's bet for Belgium to qualify when they were down 1-0 looking better and better. Never a doubt folks

Soft call for that PK

Right call though. Prevented defender from making contact with the ball and kicked him. A little soft, but you've gotta call it.

I think the US handles Belgium assuming they win tonight

Right call and absolutely reckless defending. Go to your feet like that behind your man and that is the most likely outcome.

MuggsyB

Yikes.  That looked painful.

Offsides in soccer takes so much enjoyment and entertainment out of the game.

Balo is gonna be a superstar, I just have a feeling.  He's only 24 and the continued development is so refreshing to see .  I think hes a top 3 US player all time when all is said and done.  Hes got an absolute edge to him, besides prodigious natural talent and instincts. He fits the US mold so well

This ref is not up to the task tonight.

jesmu84

Ref needs to get this crap together

What a player. We've never come remotely close to playing  a striker like him.

Hes a guy who could get a move (back to the prem) after the WC.

Literally why soccer will never be popular in the USA.
