Truly feel bad for Hurts. Not to get overly dramatic, but he's actually lucky to be alive.

The play on 4th and 3 from the 17 to throw a corner route to a covered Burks in the end zone was...a choice.

Apparently both him and the coach didn't realize it was 4th down.

You're not being overly dramatic. Just stating the truth.

"You're lucky to be alive" were the very words my primary care doc said to me after he read the surgeon's notes from my heart surgery. I dodged a bullet. And if a blood clot travels to the brain? Hurts definitely could die from that.

It doesn't need to travel to your brain, a clot in your lungs is fatal very frequently.

Hurts is lucky to be alive.

Pulmonary embolisms are life and death.

When you're consuming Vicodin like Tic Tacs like mid 90s Favre, you could probably play through a full limb amputation, much less a silly little embolism

I can guarantee you, he wouldn't have gotten an embolism because he wouldn't have taken the vax.  And even if he did, nothing a copper bracelet couldn't have fixed

I know all too well the seriousness of blood clots and they are extremely dangerous.

But FWIW, all the ex-players I've heard on tv and radio the past few days have consistently said the doctors have no allegiance to the team to get players back on the field or felt like coaches, management or owners have a say in the medical evaluations. Again, just from what I've heard in the media from ex-players.

Good news.  Josh Jacobs says he'll learn from his mistakes and move forward after a four second decision ruined his life.  And Matt LaFleur is happy to give him a second chance.

Be a shame if Jacobs collided with LaFleur on the sideline during a play and they both broke their legs

I'm not here to defend domestic abuse, but before I rush to any judgement either way, I'd like to be equipped with all of the information.  Seems like that may never happen.

Sure, I don't think he denies that.  Police and DA's charge the most serious offense they think they can prove.  Yet, they settled on a lesser charge for Josh.  Misdemeanor battery and criminal damage to property.  Did she hit him as well?  We don't know.  The crime was described as a throw to the ground where she hit her head.  Is that a body slam?  Is that a shove over furniture?  Is it a hard push where she tripped?  Again, I'm not excusing the behavior.  Violence is never okay.  But we also do not have all the facts, and no video has been released.

Josh has no prior criminal history and seems genuinely remorseful of his actions.  I am absolutely for giving people second chances.  But of course, the facts aren't all out as to what happened that night.  And I am not sure we will ever get them.

Release the video.  Given how hard him and his team are fighting that, that says enough.

The NFL and its teams do not deserve the benefit of the doubt when it comes to protecting domestic abusers and sexual predators.  The Packers are no better than any other organization and how they have handled this, particularly LaFleur is disgraceful.  But I shouldn't be surprised since he helped bring in Brandon McManus.

Jacobs can get a second chance elsewhere, not in Green Bay which prides itself in "Packers people".

Could ESPN be on the market for another former Cowboys QB to man its MNF booth? Can anyone think of one available?

I'm thinking it will be Greg Olsen.
