Pretty amazing that at the same time, in the same season, you have the historically hapless Lions and the "get off the bus running (mostly cause we don't have a competent QB)" grinding Bear Weather Chicago Bears...both as teams who can give teams 40-50 points on any given Sunday.  And even more so that the Bears can do so because they took the Lions offensive genius.

And the Packers' D gave up the most points in the division week 1. Crazy.

I have no idea how or why this story has the legs it has. Bears reps have been meeting regularly with the state for months behind the scenes.
