Colton looks like more than that to me - hell I remember bringing in my classmate Bruce Hayes as a walk on and he was more than serviceable.  Colton looks a heck of alot better than a walk on imho.  We'll see..

You've seen him play?

Quote from: GoFastAndWin on June 03, 2026, 05:27:35 PMGod damn the speculation required on here to evaluate the effectiveness of what programs are doing in the portal.

I swear many of you will be following SLU closely just so that you can bitch and moan when Sheek has a 16 point 8 rebound game against Fordham or Dayton. It could happen.

Just like Louisville fans could be watching MU and see Shaka perfectly utilize and motivate Sananda Fru, who goes off for multiple double doubles. It WILL happen!

And I will bet my last dollar the Cards fans, understanding the nature of the portal better than most, will handle things better than the clowns on this board.

I don't think this is "more than serviceable."

This is bad.

Maybe serviceable would have been closer to reality. As I recall he was able to spell Tony Smith for a bit and hit a couple big 3s 1 vs Michigan iirc.  Anyhoo re if Ive seen him play Ive seen the videos and the chatter during his recruitment at end didn't sound like practice player walk on recruitment.  He's had good games vs very good competition...

The Sultan

Sorry, but Crowdis is considered a practice player. Hopefully he develops into something, but in reality no one should be expecting anything from him.

This is why Marquette never announced his signing.

I'll be watching every minute of SLU basketball out of solidarity with Yadi's best buddy, shoothoops.

Here's Shaka saying he's a practice player.

Hope you are right.  Only going off of what was said here.  Admittedly that may not be smart.

Perhaps that is more about expectations than ability to play. Sounds like Nash is going to miss a lot of practice as Crowdis will be pick up that slack. Did  I hear correctly that they'll be playing some games in Vancouver. Maybe 82 can scout the team for us.

Nash was playing in practice earlier this week.

Quote from: Pakuni on June 02, 2026, 01:10:25 PMIf they're relying on Caedin for 10ish minutes a game, then yeah, pretty good chance they've already misevaluated.
Maybe this is the year the long-promised big leap from Hamilton actually happens, but fool me thrice?

Since it is an argument you enjoy using, which coach has said they're relying on 10ish minutes a game from Caedin?

This is pretty much a nonsense question. No coach says anything about whatever minutes a potential back up is playing six months before the season starts.

The problem with that argument is that it presents a false choice. MU's options weren't limited to a) do nothing or b) knock the entire compensation structure out of whack.

You cannot know this for a fact.  You can and are presuming it.

I agree, which is why I'm pointing out Pakman's presumptions being silly.

Small Orange Soda

If missing out on guys on the transfer market is so often due to budgetary issues, then maybe paying a guy who in his fourth year apparently isn't good enough to play 10 minutes a game is a misuse of funds.
