We can discuss the schedule as it comes together here, maybe even predict all our losses.

We'll lose at Michigan and at home against Wisconsin.

Should be able to handle New Hampshire.

Brew usually has a good grasp on who else might be on the schedule.  Once he drops those, we can see who else we'll lose to.

Lendeborg declares for the NBA.   Can't really say 'goes pro' anymore.

New Hampshire is where New England sends all it's disgruntled people.

It's not like he had a choice after six years in college.

Mara and Johnson, however...

The consensus seems to be that Mara is going to the NBA because his stock rose significantly based on his performance in the NCAA tournament.

Johnson is considered a tossup.

Regardless, Michigan is going to have a dramatically different roster next year. Their high "way too early" ranking seems to be based on an expectation that he will be able to restock the roster and blend it into a championship caliber team like he did this year.

That might or might not happen, but it won't be done by November 11. Marquette has a better collection of returning talent than Michigan does if Johnson doesn't return. Michigan has added one transfer (Estrella from Tennessee) and has some good incoming freshmen, but there's no reason MU can't give them a good game.

I am glad the New Hampshire game got a mention in this thread. So funny that it is a "known" game at this point.

They should say...."NO STATE SALES TAX"

LIVE FREE AND NOT TAXED TO DEATH.....

I make a booze run (40 miles) about every other month....To re-supply....

So MA, VT, NY, and CT is a little far.   But worth the trip....Saves me about 25 to 30% and then redemption on bottles and cans also.....

Kind of like MU back in the 70's with 18 year old drinking age and 10 cent beers at some establishment any day of the week.....(we had a scedule)   .....Definite application to MU by a lot of CHI kids....

Would've been nice for me if it was a home and home.

Neutral court games in Chicago, another failure of the athletic department.  Need them to be at destination locations.  We could pack a house in the Bahamas and it'd be cheap for the program.

SchnitzelBoy

I'd hate to see them lose at the UC two years in a row... But this squad should be considerably better than last year's when we ran with Zaide Lowery and Sean Jones as 2 of our top guys...

I hope all the local Marquette fans pack the place but I think this past season really turned a bunch of casual fans (and even a few die-hards) off. I see boatloads of MU fans around Chicago, so I think they should be a draw at the United Center when they're ranked.

Yeah if this was going to be a thing it should've started during the Kolek years when the entire alumni and student base within 2hrs would've showed up. It'll be tough to justify a very slow blue line ride and $20 beer to watch an unranked MU team play a crap Mizzou team.
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!
