Quote from: Galway Eagle on April 07, 2026, 01:19:08 PMEhhhh... there's enough proof of Shaka judgement being clouded with him that it's worth being at least a little bit concerned.
Fair, but if he gets the same run next season like he did in Feb-Mar, he will not be a factor in our Ws & Ls.

Quote from: Galway Eagle on April 07, 2026, 01:21:14 PMThis I agree with. I hope Caedin and Clark put it all together and do 3x as many hook shots becoming serviceable high major backups to a young Sheek. I can be doubtful it happens and think they don't belong here talent wise but similar to Wojo as long as they're here I will root for their success.

Agree completely. Not very scoopy though. Rationality is frowned upon here.

I hope he proves me wrong. It would take a massive developmental leap from him to do so, one that I'm not sure he has the skills and physical tools to make.
I agree with this. Some guys look like they are players who "get" the game but just need to physically mature or get PT to allow them to catch up to the speed of the game.

CH looks lost on the court as if he doesn't know what to do. I saw him multiple time continue to block out for rebounds long after the rebound was secured.

Feel the same. The kid cannot compete in the BE. He's taken up valuable minutes and bench space.

I follow and agree with the logic. I just think that on the list of priorities for MU, CH taking the 13th, 14th or 15th spot on the bench is not near the top.

Big assumption that's how Shaka views him.

BCHoopster

He has had 3 years to prove something and showed he was a good teammate on the bench, which he should be on all next year!

An assumption based on the past 2 months.

So you want him as a part of the normal, planned rotation next year, just as he was the last 2 months of this past season?

I think the 6 min per game had to do with lack of depth, not quality of play. If Shaka does not bring in quality big men, then Shaka will be more of a concern than Hamilton.

Again, it's not a matter of if any of us "want" CH to be on the team. It's a matter of some of us saying it won't necessarily be an apocalyptic disaster if he is.

Or folks can take the opposite view, and say that if he's on the team - even as the 14th or 15th man - next season is already doomed. If so, enjoy your misery!

As has been stated before, Shaka has clearly not viewed Caedin as the 14th or 15th man. Take a moment...do you think it's a good thing if Shaka views him as the 8th or 9th man like he did this year? Why would he invite him back if he viewed him as the 14th or 15th man?

If he's coming back, do you think he's viewing him as back of the line? And if not, then why invite him back for a fourth year?

If Shaka adds a starting center in the portal, which I assume he will, that means Hamilton will be our #3 center, at best.

Some of you really need to get over your HDS.

I think that there are far more important things, like who Shaka brings in, does Owens finally show signs of living up to the expectations, do Sheek, Miletic, and Nash turn into pleasant surprises along the lines of Nigel last season (that doesn't necessarily mean at the same level though).

I would have preferred that Hamilton had left, but I think his being on the team is a very minor issue. No way is he going to be the first-off-the-bench 5. As you said, some here will simply not let it go. They will find other things to bitch about as well. Already 69 is worried of the possibility of another terrible season even before Shaka goes to the portal.  ::)

I don't know. I choose not to get my undies in a bundle over something that is impossible to know yet.

Can we PLEASE see who is and isn't on next year's roster before predicting disaster - or greatness, for that matter?

If we have another terrible season the world won't end. After all it is just basketball. Though you may not believe it I do hope for a winning season. At least we agree that Hamilton should have left. He is taking up a transfer's spot who could provide meaningful minutes.
