Good stat from The Athletic"

One critique of the Brewers in recent years was that they'd never win in the postseason until they started hitting more home runs. Challenge accepted: Milwaukee's 10 home runs lead the postseason, and its rate of one home run every 30.3 plate appearances is second only to the Astros (17.75), who hit four home runs, but very little else in 71 team plate appearances.

Just read that article. If the Brewers continue to hit bombs, I think they win handily. They just do everything so well. Might try to head over to to Tampa and catch a game. As a Cubs fan, I was really hoping my second favorite team the Guardians would win, easy to cheer for them. But, as a Midwest kid, I did also like the Brewers back in the AL days, especially as a loather of St. Louis, and they are my third favorite team. Won't root against them.

There is a great t-shirt company called Obvious Shirts. I have a handful (one says "I'm Allergic to St. Louis), and their newest one says "Die Hard Tampa Bay Fan Since October 2026." Pretty good.

I am sober and am about to pass out here (I'm vaxxed)

Arod predicting a dodgers win tonight.

I wonder if each team supplies their own pitch calling devices or the home team provides them. I feel like the road pitchers have had issues every single game at amfam in the playoffs.

I don't know why we needed that long of a look at Pratt being safe. You could see it on the Jumbotron, through my TV, clear as day.

Hopefully it's cleat maybe still on the base so not clear, call stands.

I think his foot was off the base, but also do not think it was definitive. Not sure there was enough to overturn...even though I think it was the right call.

Caminero didn't check his swing and should've been K'd up. Hope it doesn't come back to Ben us.

Don't know if I can take this for too many games.

Right? This is going to be brutal.

PRATT NEEDS TO FOCUS! INEXCUSABLE

Sphincter relaxed. That was more stressful than it needed to be but feels so good to get one notch on the belt.

Lotta series left. Both teams left some plays on the basepaths

Well, this blows ...

Some Brewers fans paid thousands to witness history at the World Series opener. Then they got a crushing message about their tickets.

Several fans who bought StubHub tickets for World Series Game 1 on Oct. 23 say their seats are no longer available. Screenshots posted on social media show order confirmations, followed by messages from StubHub saying the tickets couldn't be delivered.

With the Brewers in their first World Series in 44 years, Game 1 resale prices started at over $2,000 per ticket.

Here's what we know so far about the cancellations, what the company promises buyers and how to protect yourself.

What did StubHub say about the Game 1 orders that fell through?
A StubHub spokesperson told Public Investigator that sellers "were unable to complete a limited number of World Series orders." The company did not say how many orders were affected or why the sellers couldn't complete them.

StubHub said it has contacted everyone affected, and is "securing replacement tickets where available, with full refunds as a backstop."

What is StubHub, and how does it work?
StubHub is an online marketplace where people buy and sell tickets to sports, concerts and other events. Sellers set the prices, and the company handles the payment.

Sellers receive payment five to eight days after the event, and StubHub says they collect only if the buyer gets in.

Yup. A friend who's a Dodgers fan and was a ticket broker in a past lifetime said he knows exactly how it happens. Said brokers post tickets to multiple secondary market sites, and once it's bought on one site they take them down on the others but it takes anywhere from 30 seconds to a couple of minutes to pull them from the other sites. So they likely sold on a different site and didn't get pulled off of Stubhub before somebody purchased them there.

Said there's also a slight chance that a broker would accidentally post the wrong price (say they accidentally listed tickets for $500 and meant to list for $5,000). Since Stubhub keeps a percentage of the sale, they will on rare occasion work with the broker and basically screw over the buyer and not fulfill the sale so the broker can post them at the "correct" price, and Stubhub can make 10x the money on the sale.

Can't make errors against this team, especially the top of the lineup.
