A grinder, and takes a lot of crap from Murph because he's the kind of guy who can take crap. Sounds like one of the favorites in the clubhouse. Bauers said he almost cried for him in the dugout.

Forgot about that but vaguely remember it. Have to go back and reread it.

Been rewatching clips of his homer, the rays center fielder just put his hands on his knees in shock when the ball cleared the fence. You could see the momentum/spirit just leave his body...then the pan to Frelick that you shared and you can see how massive of a change in the game that was.

White Sox parting ways with play-by-play guy John Schiffren.
I think the Benetti situation made this a no-win situation for anyone who took that job, but he was truly awful in year on and just garden variety bad in year two.

Probably because he tried to make it joyful which we know baseball should never be

Holy hell Simpson is fast haha. Guy had a hard hit (though not laser) ball right at Pratt, Turang GUNNED it from second, and Simpson was safe by 2 steps.

Apparently too fast to put the breaks on when stealing which worked out for the Brewers there.

wadesworld

That is a ridiculous play.

CreightonWarrior

That was an insane catch.

Seeing the real defense from these teams thus far

Yeah, if Simpson hadn't made the play he did a half inning prior, Turang's scoop is an amazing play. As it is, it's just another out.

Some good ABs by the Brewers, other than Pratt's. Let's run the pitch count up on Freddy and get into this bullpen early.

MuggsyB

Why on earth is Contreras trying to go to 2nd there??

oh great you're back

The crowd sounds about 65/35 rays/brewers. All the hype about brewers fans traveling were well founded.

Yup, it's what I figured it'd be. More Rays for sure, but Brewers fans will be very noticeable when good things happen for them.

Some outstanding base running by Yeli. Hustling to beat out the throw at 2nd gets them a bunch more runs. Then hustling on an infield hit to score from 2nd.

Big-time!

Uncle Rico

It's a home game

Hello!!!  Wow.

As fun as it is to be in your home ballpark for a playoff game, there is something uniquely awesome and overwhelmingly satisfying going to a road playoff game of your team.

I went to Houston and it was awesome, I applaud all the Brewers fans that went to Tampa.

wadesworld

Effing. Relentless.

CreightonWarrior

This is incredible!

Absolutely insane! And hearing the crowd there, you'd never ever think this was a road game. Man, has to be awesome to be there.

I know a handful of people there.  Jealous as hell.

The Brewers are this year's team of density. (I know what I wrote.  Pop culture reference)
