I'm not the biggest Brewers fan but I've liked them ever since my MU daze ... and I wish they had been more aggressive on the trade market.

If the Brewers could score just a few runs, Miz-Skubal-Harrison would be very tough to beat in a series.

I wish they were more aggressive but the guy I wanted after Skubal (Detmers) didn't go. The one bat (Goodman) that had a place to play here also didn't go.

I thought the Cubs had a really good deadline. Gausman is a name but the guys they got today can really pitch. They gave up quite a bit though. I am glad the Brewers were not in the position they and the Padres were.

I think the Brewers made some good pickups but yeah... this was the year for them to go all in. 

But hey, why even bother fielding a team when the Dodgers are already engraved on the trophy?

Deadline additions are fine. But nothing matters if Chourio, Yelich, Contreras don't pick it up. The offense is in a massive rut.

I would have traded a lot for Hunter Goodman. He's early arb years this offseason and I don't see a world in which Contreras is not traded this offseason. He would have filled a DH and backup catcher in the meantime. But he didn't get moved which means he was either not available or the price was incredibly high.

Outside of Arraez, there aren't any bats that got moved that I really wish we got. The stars have to star.

Agreed.  I'm glad they didn't make a big splash trade.  Would've been a waste.  Dumb that they gave up two top 15 prospects in their system.

Congrats to your boys on some big splashes just so they can try to advance further than the Brewers do.

Tbe Brewers are the first team to 70 wins and have the best record in baseball to this point.  That said, I just looked at Yelich's stats.  They're a total abomination.  At some point you have to move on and use him as a pinch hitter.  You cannot have him batting 1-5 or anywhere else in the line-up.  Don't they have a number of better DH options?

They're sleepwalking through the season. Snell and Glasnow have pitched 42 and 2/3 innings this season, and Skubal has pitched 6 innings for them. Ohtani's just going to save his pitching arm for the Playoffs.

But I do love that the same people who did this last year are the same ones doing it this year.

Sure, they are the heavy favorites, but they are far from the unstoppable force you make them out to be.
