Allegedly the Iranians want to deal only with Vance, not Witkoff or Kushner. Trump can and will blame Vance for the failures, the Iranians have an opportunity to establish some sort of working relationship with Vance in case he becomes president via Trumps death or possibly in 2028. Everybody gets something out of this-Trump, the Iranians, and Vance. I think Vance is the biggest winner-he can claim to have tried to settle a mess he did not create and look like a reasonable leader. It will sell with many Americans.

Just laughing at scoopers thinking they understand foreign diplomacy as well as the president does.  Many people say he's the greatest diplomat ever.  He's ended a dozen wars at least and his trade deals are the envy of past presidents.  Many people are saying this.  Many strong, men are actually crying as they say this.  It's never been seen before

This doesn't make sense on so many levels. It now also nullifies any actions the UN has taken or can take on the matter.

Because if you want to make a resolution against Iran for blocking the strait, then you also have to make a resolution against the US for blocking the strait. Which we either veto, since it is also against us, or allow a resolution by the UN indicating we are violating international law.
