The advantage of not using the portal is supposed to be continuity, and in early season the team knowing who they are. Why are we the team still trying to "find our identity" then.

Because most of the continuity guys aren't good enough right now. Maybe the forecasted leaps from Hamilton, Owens, Parham and Lowery are still in the offing, but it hasn't happened yet.
