Quote from: MU82 on May 02, 2026, 10:08:29 PMSay what you want about Embiid, but he was a warrior today. Just a few weeks after appendix surgery, and he kept getting hit on the knees, yet he kept going, even diving on the floor for a loose ball. Oh, and 34 points, 12 boards and 6 assists, too.

But I do agree about Maxey; he deferred a little too much today.

Maxey is a prime-time baller.  Dude has ridiculous zoomability and can finish in the paint.  He's a fking blur in transition. Yes, he can be hit or miss from the perimeter, but I'd take him on my squad.  He needs to attack Brunson and have a 🦣 series for Philly to win.

I don't think he should be fired for this or anything, but that line-up that Mazzulla started the game with really put the Celtics behind the eight ball early. It was the first time in NBA playoff history that three of a team's starters didn't score.

Ya...that didn't make any sense.

Not having Wagner was a killer for the Magic, but they had every opportunity to close out the series at home. Congrats to our Detroit fans here.

Thompson need to learn how to shoot and Cade needs to take better care of the ball.  Teams don't guard AT.  Maybe CC goes bananas and Duren scores a bit more moving forward.  Duncan Robinson has been inconsistent as well.

So, Doc or Billy D for the Magic's opening?

Yuck. Why would they do that?

Rumors are they are interested in Dusty May.

Why in the world would the NBA overlap these games tonight?

They want to keep the Knicks in prime time and don't want a game tipping off in Central Time later than 8:30.

So tbey "want to keep the Knicks on prime-time", but only for Game 1 of this series??  Makes zero sense.  Especially when the biggest star in the league is playing in the overlapped game.   Idiotic.

Yes just for this game. NBC decision.

A very bad decision.

I'm a bit worried about Wemby constantly falling on plays.  He already has six swats.  Castle is super impressive.

Muggsy worrying about the risks of gravity for Wemby when he doesn't have to care about it for himself.

Man for others.

He's constantly wiping out and on the ground.

I've never had an injury from falling, and have elite balancing skills.

Wemby is 0-8 from distance.  He needs to get the ball in the high or mid-post more.  He does have 12 blocks though.

Wow.  Heck of a win for Minny.

Wembanyama had one of the great defensive games in NBA history. But he sucked on offense, and the Spurs lost.

Yes.  He owned it.  But he didn't address my point about crashing constantly to the floor.  If he hasn't already read my comments, my door is always open.  Assuming he can enter my condo comfortably (and show my pup some affection) before I make a plethora of additional suggestions.  He cannot be primarily a 3pt shooter against better teams and at this juncture in the playoffs.  :)

Part of the reason he falls down is because he has irritable bowel syndrome

From that height his BMs reach terminal velocity so it's probably quite disorienting

Watch replays of those "blocks". Just sickening. Multiple goaltends, multiple fouls. All blatant.
