That's garbage.  I'm sick of the concussion excuse.  Concussions are for soft athletes who are looking for an out when the going gets tough.  The troops don't get concussions.

Yea but that's only cause a streamer told him that concussions were a Jewish conspiracy.

The word "concussion" is not in the Bible.

Taylor Jenkins to coach the Bucks.  At least we shouldn't be trading away future extremely valuable firsts for Ja Morant now.

Fine with the hire, but probably should've just kept Bud around if all we wanted was someone similar to Bud.  Unless they thought he'd be in high demand and valued him over any other possible candidate, not sure the urgency to get this done so quickly without really looking at other options.

You should just be glad they hired someone that isn't dead

I'm not informed on NBA HC candidates, but I hoped the Bulls would talk to him. Good hire.

I heard the first call was to Lieberman.

The Knicks should play Tyko.

MuggsyB

Kuminga is playing well.

MuggsyB

Denver with a whopping 11 pts in the 1Q.

Do we really need them to announce to everyone what they're reviewing every time they go to the monitor? By the time the refs discuss reviewing it and they announce it to the arena, they could've just gone to the monitor and had their decision.

Duren proving to be an even bigger regular season merchant than Sengun.

wadesworld

Black gets a layup, the refs call a foul that isn't there for an and 1, the Pistons challenge the foul and it gets reversed, and the basket gets taken away? How does that work? He made the shot. Shouldn't it just be no foul, Pistons bringing the ball in bounds after a made basket?

Duren has been a complete disaster.

MuggsyB

Brilliant job by Bulls to trade Ayo .

MuggsyB

Yikes.  What a terrible way to end this game after a historic performance from Dosunmu.

SGA needed only 18 FGA to score 42 points.

Ya....that was moronic.

MuggsyB

Toronto netted 14 pts in the 1Q.  I believe they're 0-14 from 3.

MuggsyB

Uhhhh....Pritchard is absolutely throttling the Sixers.   Dude is also talking a lot of smack.  Embiid isn't a net positive.

MuggsyB

Bad luck for Minnesota with Dante & Ant.
San Antonio is going to be a problem moving forward if Wemby stays healthy.  I do worry about the guy constantly falling.  That's a long way down.

Interesting ESPN study of fouling up 3 in the NBA.

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/48582233/nba-playoffs-2026-foul-3-san-antonio-spurs-portland-trail-blazers-impact

The numbers that jumped out at me:

++ In 2010, a Synergy Sports analysis found that teams took only 11.5% of their foul up three opportunities. But film study shows that over the last two seasons, teams have chosen to intentionally foul 34.2% of the time with a three-point lead in the final 10 seconds.

++ Looking at data from the last 5 seasons, the ESPN writer found that results from 524 games with a foul-or-no-foul-up-3 decision were remarkably similar. Teams that chose to foul up three won 92.0% of their games, versus 91.7% for those that played normal defense.

++  Offenses' long-range accuracy plummets when they're forced to take 3s against a defense that knows what's coming. Over the past five seasons, teams are shooting just 18.9% on 3-pointers when trailing by three in the final 24 seconds. That figure is 21.1% if you count only attempts within 30 feet, removing long-range heaves from the equation.

++ "You've seen this year how many people have missed the free throw on purpose and got it back and gotten a great look," Nick Nurse said. "I think people are getting better at missing it. I think the rebounds are not so lopsided towards the defense anymore. They've become 50-50, almost like loose balls rather than rebounds." Nurse is right: Over the past two seasons, according to an analysis of GeniusIQ data, teams trailing by two or three points in the final 10 seconds have successfully rebounded 16 of 38 missed free throws, or 42% (including violations that don't hit the rim). That's four times higher than the 10.5% offensive rebounding rate on missed free throws in all situations.
