FIFY.  Things will be much worse in Milwaukee than they are in Chicago.

Ironically, the Bulls never becoming "much worse" has been their fatal flaw.

Yeah, but with the Bucks getting much worse it doesn't help them since their picks are either outright going to the Pelicans/Blazers, or there are swap rights on their picks with one of those two teams.

Yes, you are right. The Bucks have themselves in a terrible position. The Bull's AK "paralysis by analysis" did leave them with decent draft assets compared to the Bucks. But is cost them much better assets if they could have moved off players before they declined to 2nd round value.

Misery loves company. Welcome to the $h!t show.  :-\

Quote from: Hards Alumni on April 10, 2026, 12:42:49 PMNah, they're working with a guy who wants to win in Milwaukee.  That is no longer possible since they sold the future to win now and haven't.  So GA has to be traded.  The question is do they trade him somewhere he can compete for a title and get a terrible return or do they ship him to Sacramento and get the best value.  If you get the best value, and send him to Sacramento you (clearly) will piss him off and make Milwaukee more radioactive than it already is to Free Agents.  If you accept 80 cents on the dollar, you field a team that won't be competitive for half a decade.  This is as bad of a front office fumble as we've seen in Wisconsin since... Aaron Rodgers!

Right now everyone hates each other, and it is becoming another situation where Wisconsinites get to see another messy divorce in front of their eyes.

Why can't the Bucks get good value from a team seeking to contend? Or in a multi-team trade?

Probably to the front office. Which, hey, you couldn't do worse at GM or at coach, so moving the coach, who has previously been a horrible GM, to GM can only improve your situation. Hard to believe but true.

Actually 3 years too late.

Was surprised to just read this in The Athletic:

The Hornets' starting lineup - LaMelo Ball, Kon Knueppel, Brandon Miller, Miles Bridges, Moussa Diabaté - has outscored opponents by 26.4 points per 100 possessions ... higher than any lineup that has played at least 250 minutes together in one season since 2015-16.

Also, since Jan. 3, the Hornets have the best net rating in the NBA, its most efficient offense and its fourth-stingiest defense.

Pretty remarkable, considering how horrible the team has been for years - and even the first two months of this season. Of course, they still could lose to Miami tonight in their playoff game, which would be on brand.

Charlotte doesn't look like they have anything inside.

That was an incredible shot by Koby White.  Not easy to do in an open gym.

Very entertaining game. In the 4th quarter, I thought it was gonna be one of those "live by the 3 die by the 3" games for the Hornets. Kon was so bad he had to be benched. But they came through. Great trade for Coby White at the deadline.

Kawhi has only played 11 more playoff games in the entirety of his 6 years in LA than he did during the Raptors title run season alone. Dude went home to LA, got paid, and turned into a better defending DeRozan, stats with no success
