That has never not been stupid.
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

A girl I grew up with, Caroline, happened to film 9/11 while she was at NYU. She went on to write/produce shows like Smallville and Vampire Diaries so she stuck with the film thing despite the trauma.

Looking forward to this year's Famous alumni's feet pregame threads

Typical Scoop, just like class clown Rico turning every thread into a comedy.  This one into a feet discussion.  RIP to the 3,000 lost and the hundreds of first responders and civilians who were lost due to airborne chemicals.

RIP to my friends in the North Tower:

John O'Neill
Paul Sarle

I hope your friends are at peace.

But man this wasn't derailed by comedy, but by bad faith whining.

No doubt, some Scoopers think 9/11 was great. Disgusting, vile peoplej.

And humor and cheap comedy are more important than ever.

I mean, if you are coming to Scoop for serious discussion about 9/11 24 years after the fact, I don't know what you are expecting.

I'm in NYC right now, and went to the Memorial pools between 9 and 10 pm last night. Lots and lots of people, but I was struck by how many would have no personal memory, due to their age... and many were taking photos just like any tourist attraction. I chose not to, as I was there as an observance and to reflect.Amy flowers, flags and pictures and notes left at individual names.
What was very disconcerting was that there was a group of very loud motorcyclists that kept circling and then pulled over, and also were blaring music that really was not appropriate for the day and location.
On several occasions several of us would just stand there, look at each other, and go What the F?$@@?
The. There was a pipe and drum group that was marching through, clearly planned, and at least drowned out the motorcyclists.
Did find out that there is now an area set aside for those first responders who have subsequently died of ailments like cancer that resulted from their exposure at the site - I made sure to go there as well.

Great point. @mods should ban Rico for always discussing #feet

I hate feet.  They're disgusting and men should never wear sandals

Socks-with-sandals enjoyer, Rico. How am I not surprised?

You sure you didn't go to UW-Madison? Mr. Birkenstocks with wool socks?

Has anyone been to the 9/11 museum?  If not, it's a must.  An absolutely stunning, moving experience.  The room with photos of everyone who died, along with a story of each person from a loved one if you pick up a phone, is almost too much to take.

Wool socks save us from seeing each others feet

My wife and I went to the museum in 2015 during the same trip we went to see MU win the Barclays event. You are right about it being an intense experience.

As a training class, I got to listen to the fire radio traffic while watching synced up video.  I'm good.

Yeah, I'm not sure I need to dwell further on my own memories. I'm sure it's an excellent museum with great storytelling, though.
