I think ND is a good team. They got fat on a soft schedule last year. But if ND is a real #4 in the country, then the Badgers look respectable.

Probably their best choice out there for a longer term guy.  Also, couldn't fit the aesthetic stereotype of a UW HC any better.

Also, could have the most bleak geographic career path Ive seen awhile in terms of locales... Moscow, ID -> Winona, MN -> Munice, IN -> Hampton, VA, -> Macomb, IL -> Mankato, MN -> Bozeman, MT -> Brookings, SD -> back to Moscow -> ABQ, NM

Tidwater area in VA isn't bad depending on who you ask, and obviously Bozeman is beautiful, but spending the vast majority of the last 20 years in remote/small town Idaho, Minnesota, Illinois, and SD is a hell of a way to remove distractions and focus on football.  I can be pragmatic enough to put aside the Wisky hate to admit Madison is a beautiful, culture rich place on its own, but compared to his adult like, its basically Paris on a lake.

Regular season powerhouse, playoffs fraud. Haven't won a title since 2017.
In the meantime, Naperville's North Central College has been to the D-III championship game six consecutive seasons, winning three times. They've beaten Mount Union four times in a row, including twice in the championship.

Obviously a bluff, but once these things start rolling they can have a momentum all their own. So hey, you never know. Goes without saying that this would help Marquette's cause.

For experiments sake, I'd like to see LSU as an independent. If they'd make it successfully as an independent, boy, would that open up some intriguing possibilities.

There are a lot of schools much better poised than LSU to try an independent route but some people think they can do it.

I don't think they'd have much success because they'd be stuck scheduling a lot of bad teams due to the reasoning for why they went independent.  Also, the coaches are hated across the country by other coaches, but I'd like to see them try.
