Looks like this is for the 2028-29 season, which is ideal since we're winning the National Title in March 2028 before this comes out.

After winning the National Championship, they should be able to up-level the program to offer hot dogs at scrimmages...

Wads brings up a good/sad point -- EA college bball sucked it big time.. with all this time, they need to blow up any remnants of it and start from scratch / copy 2k. I'll be amp'd for it regardless, but I really hope the game play isn't crap.

2028 is a ways off.. not sure if I'll create a coach (myself) or use our actual coach (Brian Wardle).

Since it's EA and not 2K, looks like I'll be getting it just to dominate the recruiting trail and simulating all the games as the gameplay is certain to be trash.

I'm a man child and got the college football game last year even though I don't have a team to root for.  It was a blast.  I prefer to recruit rather than structure contracts 8 days a week.  Hopefully the NIL isn't too in depth.

Half joking, half serious, can't wait to see how NIL is incorporated.

A few hours after EA announced it was bringing back its college basketball titles, 2K responded to a post on Twitter saying that "The campus has been quiet for too long." In an expanded statement to The Athletic, 2K all but confirmed it would also be returning to the college court, potentially creating a new rivalry.

"2K is the undisputed home of basketball gaming," a 2K spokesperson said. "We have a strong history with college hoops and are exploring exciting new ways to bring athletes and schools to life. Class is in session."

Their plan is to incorporate college basketball into the NBA game. Only 16 NCAA teams in Year 1, 32 teams in Year 2, 68 teams in Year 3, standalone game (IF enough people buy the premium NBA version) in 2030. Only 5 v 5 tournament play (no recruiting, no non 5 v 5 features).
