Wisconsinites, who is attending?  I assume Rico is giving lessons.  Or thinks the course is a dump.   It appears to be playing proportionately easier than Oakmont is projected to.

I love Erin Hills.  A true gem.  Very playable without wind.  When the wind is up, much more difficult.  Probably can't host men's US Open unless they roll the equipment back.

Has a men's and women's am in the next decade as well.

Heard a rumor that all those cars parked outside of Eble Ice Arena for this got hail damage.

Coincidenceally the cars were gone last Thursday

Herm isn't allowed in the state of Wisconsin anymore so he can't serve rico and I this weekend. Everyone is better for it.

His picture is up all over the place telling fans to report him to authorities if seen. Guess Lexi and Charley Hull asked for extra security as well from him

Interesting article about Erin Hills in the WSJ.  It asks one question:  How far do you hit a 7 iron?  Apparently this has sped up public play there.

If you don't play the back tees, get off the course

Play would be sped up across the board if people were honest with themselves about their ability.  If they played forward a set of tees.

The article specifically stated that for some reason people are more honest about how far they hit their 7i vs their Driver.  26% increase in speed on the course because they post signs "the 7 iron solution".

How far do you hit your 7 iron, Muggsy?  Rhetorical, so don't worry about an actual answer.  Be honest with yourself and choose the appropriate tees.  Your scores will drop, your enjoyment will increase.

145-150.  But I'm extremely consistent.    I usually play the whites, but I have a few friends that are really good players.  150 and in I do pretty well. I can rip my 4 hybrid, but in general my long i's need to be better.  I have trouble getting the height and stopping the ball.  My short game is my strong point (no pun intended).  And believe it or not I don't get mad on the golf course.

If I were honest with myself about my golf ability, I'd take up tiddlywinks.

Most people could say that.  Honestly, I just want golfing companions who laugh at themselves and the game, and who play fast.

True.  A lot of people play WAY too slow.  I'm calm about it, but the most annoying thing I see is someone waiting for the green to clear, on a 520 yrd par 5, after they hit a drive 180.  It's crazy how often you see this.  WTH are they thinking?

40% of golfers have 25+ handicaps.

They (we) have no idea how far our 7-iron is going.

We're giving it a whack, hoping it goes more than 50 yards.🏌

7-iron is a good test to gauge skill level or capability with regard to distance.  It's typically one of the clubs even bad golfers have at least a little faith in.

The 25+ handicapper is the one that really needs to play up a set, though.  Quit leaving yourself 200+ for your 3rd or 4th shot.  Too many golfers play further back to show their "toughness".  Same clowns driving pickup trucks to youth soccer and the business park

You need to introduce slow play into darkness.

Also, that movie killed Merlot as a viable wine varietal.  Sad!

A buddy of mine once hit into Barry Alvarez at U-Ridge.  It was a fun confrontation to witness.

Was Barry drunk?  Probably.

I got stuck behind Bo Ryan once and it took almost 6 hours to play.  When Bo coached UWM, he would take his team golfing and buy them all kinds of things out of the pro shop.  #cheater

We all weren't sure it was him.  They were looking for his ball which seemed like forever in the woods.  Then, after taking a drop, he and another guy in his foursome marked their chips and were walking around the green like it was the Masters.  My friend had enough.  :)
