Should we tell em?

What has been successful for MU opponents is to crash the offensive boards.  That is the achilles heel of the MU defense.

Having our best rebounder be Jop with 5.5 per game is pretty rough.

We got moderator beef. You should tell them about the scoop fee structure.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

They beefed up security once they saw we had a dental school.

Maybe the overinflated ball will cure our shooting woes from deep!

Quote from: LoboMan59 on March 18, 2025, 01:20:04 PMAnd that's the concern for Lobos fans. We are NOt a great shooting 3point team. Well hit a few here and there, but it's not our game at all. Coach Pitino wants our offense to run thru the middle and at the post. Priority 1 is to get the ball to the post  to Nelly Junior Joseph. He'll either take it to the rim, or kick in out if the defense collapses on him. That's where the problem is, we don't have a reliable consistent shooter from the 3pt line. Inside and the mid range game is where we line it.

I can see Marquette getting into foul trouble if the zebras have a tight whistle. Rebounding is our achilles heel and we certainly don't have the size to muscle our way in to defend and keep your guys off the boards. If the refs call the game consistenly on both ends we should prevail.

Dont curse Kam into picking up 3 cheap stupid fouls 7 minutes into the game. That can only happen like..... 6 times per year.

Thank you for reminding me of last year's coping mechanism. Bring back deflategate!

Getting your 1rst team in foul trouble may be our best hope to steal a win.  Even though our FT % is not great, a tightly called game probably favors us.  And we are pretty good on the glass.  I don't feel good about this match-up though.  From the limited footage that I've seen, your defense is no joke.

Don't worry.  Marquette doesn't have enough talent to compete in the Big East, much less the tournament.

The most accurate view of the situation imo.

Quote from: 1SE on March 18, 2025, 08:05:21 AMYeah, I think TOs are almost certainly the key to this game - we're not going to keep that big off the glass - I doubt NM has faced much ball pressure like we bring/have in the BE. We're 13-1 when we have 10+ steals - and 8-7 when we have less than 10. If we can bring the violence and get steals I don't think NM has much shot. But if it's a touchy whistle and we get early fouls which forces a dialing back of the pressure if could be a tough game. Dent has a bit of a sloppy handle (3 tos per game- but given high usage). We can get at it

I think its almost certainly going to be a quicker whistle that we've been used to seeing.  But quite honestly, I am very excited to play a non Big East team with non Big East refs.

For those of you haven't seen much of the Lobos, this video is a pretty good breakdown, with lots of Dent highlights. Though y'all might appreciate it.
