Well X Uuuuse me.   Tee time will supercede the game.   Plus, I have had crap luck with Peacock.  More of a Peacuck for me when attempting  to watch MU hoops live this season.

It is just asinine to think that anyone, including Marquette, should be concerned with Xavier.

Should be an easy win. It's unfathomable that MU is only a 2 point favorite.

Xavier is a threat from outside. That alone can win them games. Then you have to acknowledge that even with 3 point threats, their best player is a post player in Freemantle. They are a tough matchup.
VIOLENCE!

Marquette has one more win than Xavier this season.  Marquette hasn't beaten anyone of note since 1/3.  Xavier beat Marquette at home.  Xavier has won 7 straight games.  Marquette has lost 6 of their last 10.  There is a real chance we get our doors blown off.

Xavier +2.5 feels generous.

X has won 7 straight but besides beating Creighton they've been feasting on the bottom four of the BE.  They'll be motivated though since this game should decide their NCAA fate.

Hmmm oddly familiar.

This is a loss.  After we lose today and next week Thursday, it's officially Jet Watch time

I'd be very surprised if we get our doors blown off the way the team has been playing of late unless they are mentally checked out.  I don't think the seniors let that happen.  Will be interesting to find out.

With 9 points scored tonight, Kam Jones would pass Jerel McNeal for second on the all-time scoring list.

As was pointed out over a month ago, the biggest difference between MU and Xavier in conference play is that XU played most of its most difficult conference games in the first half of the conference season while MU had them in the back half.

Throw in the games that XU played without Fremantle (including the first MU game) and the teams have almost eerily similar conference performances.

I said then that I expected a rubber match between the teams in MU's first BET game and that if it happened the game would be viewed as a tossup.

And here we are.

wisblue

I wonder if MU will have any physical limitations.

Both Jones and Ross were hobbling after the tumbles they took in the OT on Saturday and Mitchell is always dealing with something.

If the game isn't going well, Shaka might decide to let the younger players finish it out like he did in last year's BET final.

Personally, I'd like to see Parham, Lowery and Owens all play 20min+ today. I don't think our starters can make it through 3 big east wars in 72 hours anyway. If we win today, then go all out in semis and play starters max min.

I am typically pretty optimistic when it comes to MU hoops, but given the trends of the two teams, the number of shooters they have, and the fact they sit on Kam's left hand better than most teams, I am anxious about this game. X is on a roll, feeling confident and this game is their ticket to the tourney. I will be very impressed if MU can bounce back from two extremely hard fought but heartbreaking losses and play our best game. Hoping desperately for a win for this group to get some positive vibes back, but nervous about this one.

In terms of Xs and Os, our best chance against them is a lot of pressure and forcing turnovers. We don't seem to be doing that as much lately for some reason and if I recall correctly we lost the turnover battle to X in the game we lost. Freemantle was out the game we won. Tough matchup, but we have to earn it.

MUbiz

I realize X is on a roll - won 7 straight. But those wins were: PC 2x, Butler 2x, DePaul and Seton Hall. Their only impressive win was home against Creighton.

We have to deserve to win. Otherwise, Muggsy will declare that we deserved to lose, and he will adamantly defend his authority to do so.  ::)
