I remember someone getting fired up about it and writing a long diatribe of how it is disrespectful to not even use his name etc. Funny thing is - it's not even remotely disrespectful and commonplace to refer to players by their number.

For me - it's more so jabbing at the dorks who think it's a problem, nothing against 18.

Except in the history of Scoop only one player has been (at least commonly) referred to by their number.

I'd be ok with Ben coming back for another go-round.  Chase too, but agree he's got more opportunities outside of college.
