Quote from: The Sultan on April 19, 2026, 12:25:43 PMI think a better way of looking at it is you have three guard / wing positions. You have James, Stevens, and Minessale starting, and Owens and Phillips as experienced back ups.

Right now I am not sure that's good enough. Especially if they have any injury issues.

Agree sulty - been saying depth is an issue for weeks

Quote from: Tha Hound on April 19, 2026, 09:21:35 AMWhat are you talking about? Dayton has been a total non-factor program for decades. They have one elite eight in the past 40 years and next year they will be a bubble team at best while we look poised to contend for another big east title.

With that context, who cares about the coaches personal record against a mid major?

Look I hate Dayton as much as anyone and think they have one of the most overrated program traditions in CBB but maybe Elite 8s in 40yrs isn't the best metric given we only have 2 in that time.

Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

Does he get an '86 Chevy as part of the NIL package?

Just a thought, maybe MU is running out of NIL money, if that is the case, giving two stiffs some money was a mistake.

This is what I've been told.  Sounds like Minessale is getting a better offer elsewhere and Marquette can't match.  That's why we haven't been connected with a 3rd player, we can't afford one and they're banking the scholarship.

Riley didn't visit because he was insulted with how much Marquette was offering.  Guess it was performance based and included a discount at Cousins.
It's only a few pennies

Stick to 6th grade state of Wisconsin basketball recruiting rankings. That is the real value you bring to the table.

I heard we we make all our NIL players pass a federal and state taxation proficiency test. You can only assume they all failed based on that info.

At least most of Scoop's other Eeyores don't take direct shots at our players. Grow the eff up.

Dayton would have been a one seed in the NCAA tourney in 2020 but for the Covid shutdown. That team had a legit shot at Final 4/Championship.

If Kyle Evans doesn't get the starting job he wants somewhere, look for him to come here as a backup. I'd absolutely love it.

Anyone else getting (or anyone else not) nervous that there has been no official confirmation that Minessale is joining MU? Seems odd with a number of anecdotal "confirmations" but nothing official yet.

It's the weekend. My guess is that it's all over but the signing.
