Even a self-serving twit who sold his soul - Dr. Oz - knows that his boss is an ignorant clown.

Washington — Dr. Mehmet Oz, the administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, said Sunday that the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine, known as MMR, is "not a lethal vaccine," despite President Trump's claims in recent days.

"No, the MMR vaccine is not a lethal vaccine," Oz said on "Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan."

While the Trump administration has been encouraging parents to vaccinate their children against measles as cases have risen to their highest levels in 35 years, an executive order signed by Mr. Trump earlier this month suggested that the MMR vaccine should be given as three separate shots. During the executive order signing, Mr. Trump claimed without evidence that the MMR vaccine, if not separated, could be "lethal." The vaccines are not currently on the market in the U.S. as separate shots.

Two Unvaccinated People Died from Measles in Pennsylvania

https://www.nytimes.com/2026/08/25/well/measles-deaths-pennsylvania-outbreak.html?

Two unvaccinated people in Pennsylvania have died from measles, as a large outbreak there continues to spread, the state's Health Department reported on Tuesday morning. They were the first measles deaths this year in the United States.

The deaths come during a record-setting year for measles in the United States: More cases have been reported in 2026 than in any other year since the virus was declared eliminated in 2000. Outbreaks have popped up all over the country. Lancaster County, Pa., where both patients lived, has been at the center of an outbreak that has so far hospitalized 70 people and infected more than 390, a third of whom were children. Health officials, citing privacy reasons, did not say whether the two patients were children or adults.

Measles deaths are extremely rare in the United States. But the virus's recent resurgence has caused a handful of fatalities. Two school-aged children and one adult died last year from measles complications, the first such deaths in the country in a decade.

"These five deaths that have occurred since 2025 are extremely, extremely rare in the modern era," said Dr. Amesh Adalja, an infectious disease doctor at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security. "They're also a harbinger of what is happening as this virus takes hold again in the United States."

RFK Jr. said a Samoa trip had nothing to do with vaccines. New documents refute that

https://apnews.com/article/rfk-jr-kennedy-samoa-vaccines-mmr-ba6ad3ffadca48599b1c178a392fb37b?

NEW YORK (AP) — Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. repeatedly told lawmakers who held the key to his confirmation last year that a 2019 visit to Samoa before a deadly measles outbreak had "nothing to do with vaccines."New documents obtained by The Associated Press and The Guardian refute that testimony.

Kennedy, then a prominent anti-vaccine activist, preceded the visit with a letter to the Samoan prime minister requesting to study the Pacific island nation's measles, mumps and rubella vaccines after the deaths of two children who had received them. In the letter, he used the words vaccine or vaccination eight times.

The letter raises questions about how truthful Kennedy was in testimony before Congress. During an arduous confirmation process where he needed the support of some skeptical Republican lawmakers to advance, Kennedy also pledged to maintain vaccine policies that, once in office, he moved to change.
