Does anyone know if we are planning on wearing this in a game?  They are pretty sweet.

Bahama

Don't think so since they are for all student athletes, but I did purchase one because they are sick

Believe they are the same as the Maui and Atlantis jerseys the NIL site sold.

Just to make some extra NIL money.

Wouldn't catch me dead in something with a chicken on it.

Brings me back to the 90s. Love it

It's a great logo.  I think many people just don't like it because it came with the end of the Warriors.

Its DJOver

The logo is fine, just way to big if you're going to have the number and "Marquette" on the front. Feels like they tried to combine several ideas and it doesn't work at all IMO.

I actually like that version of the Golden Eagle logo. I have a steel grip on my Zephyr hat with that logo.

I think that logo is the best Golden Eagle logo MU has had (which really isn't saying much). As mentioned by someone though, it is way too big on here.

The vertical letters are the real winner here though. Overall pretty slick.

Yeah I was making fun of the people on here who say they'll never buy anything that Golden Eagles on it or has the logo on it.  I've said many times that if we're going to continue to have a lame name, at least use the 2003 logo.

BM1090

I don't wear jerseys but if they created that design on a hoodie or a long sleeve shirt, I'd buy one instantly.

BrewCity83

I think it's ugly AF.  Really hope they never wear that monstrosity in a game.
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.

I kinda like it. Not sure I'd ever wear it, but I think it looks cool.

I wrote in Yellow Canaries when Warriors was not even considered as a mascot. So much for "democracy".

When did Marquette claim it was a democracy?

They certainly pitched it that way.

They had a vote and said "Warriors" wouldn't be considered.

...but that was after they realized the overwhelming majority of alums would have voted for Warriors so they took it off the table denying the will of the alumni.

That's not accurate. After Gold was dropped, the Trustees developed a two-vote process that included write-ins, but made it clear from the beginning that Warriors was not going to be counted. Here is the release:
