It absolutely kills us.  He's vital to our success and brings bigs out of the paint.  2 shots?  Zero points?  Stop overdribbling and playing iso ball.  Move the rock and use all parts of the floor.  We played way too frenzied.  It's about execution and getting all 5 guys on the floor contributing.

Got fairly good looks fairly often offensively. Shots didn't fall and we lost the game on the other end of the court. Need to be able to get stops when we aren't getting turnovers.

Teams aren't helping off Ben anymore. They're simply sagging off Kam and Jop and begging them to shoot. Both guys are hesitant to do that and keep trying to drive.

It's been several games.  We essentially had 3 starters do nothing offensively in the 1H.  That's tough to overcome.

Didn't see, but he was hopping on one leg after defending a UConn drive that resulted in 2 shots for them. I think he played for another possession, got subbed out, and then got walked back to the locker room.

Gold is not a big time college center.
This team needs lots of help. At least 2 guys that can consistently make 3s. It looks like UCONN has 4. We don't.
We get our ass out rebounded almost every game
 We need 2 bangers, not our guards trying to rebound against their 7 footers
We need depth. At least 2 guys off the bench that can average  6 to 8 points per game.
So many holes in our offense.
We need Kam to learn how to make FTs.
Good luck against St John's and Creighton. If we play perfect against them we have a chance. They do not to win.
UCONN again exposed us. Sorry, unless we play perfectly,they crush us. They do not have to play perfectly. What, 25 TOs and they still slam us on our home floor.
Our roster needs big time help. At best, 3rd in BEast this year. More likely fourth.

You really mean he took 2 shots tonight. But its not just Ben. The whole team plays snake bit. They can't shoot threes or free throws. Perhaps a new shooting coach is needed.our defense is great, but our shooting is awful.

Benny Bagels needs to involve himself. I'm sorry, when you are a starting 6'11" player there is at least the expectation to get a rebound. At least to have a foul and put someone on their butt at least once. When I see "0" across the board it doesn't make me think "we have to get him involved." Get yourself involved!

Thanks for this info, TAMU. I speculated as much while watching the game, because he seemed quite limited when in the game.

I thought Caedin looked pretty good in his minutes last night.
I was impressed for a kid that hasn't gotten a ton of minutes to come into such a big spot and look ready.

UConn wasn't helping on D. Gold is a catch and shoot player and he doesn't post-up. If you always have a player on Gold, there isn't much he can do. Hamilton tried to post-up. Parham had some chances to as well but fumbled the ball. Gold has played well this year, but UConn took away what he can do on offense.
