Quote from: tower912 on January 20, 2025, 08:35:09 AMNever cancelled due to cold.  And, in the era I was at MU, I would have gone to the bars in docks no socks.   Those days are gone.

My McCormick wing was headed to the GreenTree under any temperature.

Big news for the foot guys of scoop (Rico?)

Mmmmmmm. Why I moved to Florida.

When I was in college, we walked 6 miles each way uphill, barefoot just to get to class! Not afraid of no five below zero.

Seriously, we had four of the coldest winters in Milwaukee history when I was there. No classes? That is a southern thing. Warriors were tougher than that.

Back in my day, we'd have held classes outside!

Is this thread about the bears actually making the right hire

I had Dr. McCormick for POSC 040 and the guy rode his bike to campus every day, including in single digit temps.

Have some patience, FFS.

And the Florida panhandle.   Many areas beat up by the hurricanes now dealing with a more snow than most of them have seen.

Yeah, I was hoping that would be the case so I could have my own pet woolly mammoth.  ;D

I wanted mastodons walking down Wisconsin Avenue!

Instead we get this global warming and the increased probability of alligators in the Milwaukee River!

So much for global warming
