This team badly needs a jolt to its depth and based on how he looked in the open practice, I had some hope that Owens could be a significant contributor.

The more time he misses in the OOC season, the less likely it becomes that he will be able to contribute in the conference season.

Can anyone comment on how he looked in pregame warmups? I heard that he was in the layup line before the GM game. Did he participate in pregame warmups last night too?

He's close. A few more hurdles to clear that can hopefully be cleared in the next couple days. But nothing certain.

He was dunking the ball in layup line and did the final dunk before the team went into locker room pregame from the big east logo like Chase can do. I assume he is very close.

I was hoping that someone could report on that, which someone has done.

I did go and listen through the 9 minute press conference and heard what Coach had to say, which came in the final 10 seconds before being abruptly cut off.

Between that and the report about him dunking in pregame does give me hope that Owens can be playing soon.
