A larger than life figure in the game. And his humanitarian work was even greater.

Legend.  Polyglot, HOFer, humanitarian…and the center of one of the most (probably) apocryphal NBA stories of all time

WHO WANTS TO SEX MUTUMBO?

RIP big man.  Playing the inside out game with you and AI on the Sixers in early 2000s NBA 2K games are a core HS memory

Terrible.  Dikembe was impossible not to like and by all accounts a great human being.

Had the privilege to sit next to him at an airport restaurant and got to observe his interactions and take a picture with him.  Really sad to hear as he gave a lot back to humanity beyond being in the NBA.
