Weather is down early and scoring is much better.  Course is playing like it normally does with the prevailing winds making the back 9 much harder, a reversal of the first two days.

Guys at +2 through even have a chance to post a number and see what happens.  They'll get some of the expected rain but not a full day of it.

Shane Bacon suggests a month of links golf on tour which would be awesome but no way the pros ever spend a month playing links golf.  Two weeks and some of these guys need strait jackets

Ya.....Lowry is probably not happy about this.  There's a 61 out there.

Conditions appear to be good all day. So expect someone higher on the leaderboard to post an excellent round.

There's not a 61 out there.  The back 9 plays much harder than the front (though the final 3 look gettable).  You have to score on the front this morning.

Rain coming later in the day according to the Open official forecast and the broadcast despite what Herm says.

There might be a 65 out there.  If Lawrence or JT post a -3, they could be in the mix for tomorrow.    Rose and Shane are have been here before.   Barring exceptionally bad weather, I don't see either throwing up a 76.

I see what you did there

When the weather turns to crap, do you play on or go in?   Have you got decent rain gear?   A wide brimmed, gore tex bucket hat and rain gloves are my two must haves.

Play on but I'm built different than most American golfers

I will go to courses in the rain BECAUSE it is raining and because I know many will stay home.

Interesting interview with JT. Explained how the conditions changed significantly during the course if his own round. Said that is typical for links golf.

Raining now but not much wind.

Wonder if this will make greens more receptive

Horschel made a curious decision to putt from well off the green on 18, given how well he had been chipping. Mighta cost himself a stroke there.

The Announcer said it was downhill from the position he was in. I am guessing that may have been a more difficult shot than a putt from that location.

When people like Goose are impressed by you, being accurate isn't really all that important.
