I'm flattered but I'm just a dude with an internet connection. I've just seen enough guys take redshirts to know not to expect much from them the following season. There are always exceptions though.

It's been awhile since the numbers 6-9 were allowed.   
I think that restriction goes back to 1958, as Bill Russell was one of the last collegiate players to wear #6.

Calendar year? Don't bet on it. College season? Maybe, but I wouldn't count on it.

The timing is key.  The injury was on January 10, the surgery shortly thereafter.  Sean is clearly working his butt off.   And the team will be better if he is able to do what he did before.   It would be amazing and awesome and nearly unprecedented for Sean to be ready on day 1.  So, if you accept that, the question becomes when will he be cleared and what is the benefit for him and the team when he is cleared.
