Justin switched agents and got some bad advice. OMax was a totally different set of circumstances and will have a fine NBA career.

I know, scary.

Almost as scary as not knowing how to spell frightening.

Typed quickly and hit the E on my phone

But I will say, on a sports message board that type of reply is usually the tell tale admission that you said something stupid as all hell and have to duck in shame.
Lazar picking up where the BIG 3 left off....

Yea I considered that.

Flaming out of the NBA as a first rd pick within a few seasons would be a heavy load to bear, but at least you're still rich, an NBA player for life, and can go make dough elsewhere while you've still got game.

Can't get that year or decision back, however.

Could be worse too, see my main man Vander Blue. Loved that kid at Marquette

You think OMax is going to regret not being able to play "that year?"

Yes he improved - but...

1. He was a star at MU
2. He was a first round draft choice.

2x Big east honorable mention overshadowed by the 3 amigos, lazar and DJO. He was a star but his accolades essentially put him on par with Andrew Rowsey in the tiers of MU stardom history. He's two wins in the tournament from having been a complete afterthought on a mediocre transition team.

I could rattle off 10 bigger stars since Jimmy got to MU and make an argument for blue, Gardner, Sam & Jamil

That's laughable. Jimmy was really good and anyone who watched those teams knew it. He was a huge reason that "transitional" team even got to the S16.

And he was better than DJO.

Sam should be included for MU . He played 3 years and was Excellent the whole time. You are diminishing MU by not counting him.

If you read the article,  you'd know that he didn't choose who did and didn't count.

I know, staying in school when you can get paid now is an insane take in 2024, when everyone is already getting paid anyway...

All I'm saying is that jumping early isn't as sure fire an argument as some make it out to be

Age is HEAVILY considered when teams draft players.  They're more likely to take a chance on a guy who is younger with potential.  Especially, early in the draft.
